A mod for OPTRE which adds the Gao Republic Battle Jumpers as a faction. This faction has their own unique armor and weapons so that they aren't just UNSC in different uniforms.

The standard issue rifle of the Battle Jumpers is the TB-68M which fires a high velocity 6x68mm tungsten core round designed to penetrate UNSC marine armor. This rifle also has the capability of firing rocket assisted rifle grenades. Officers, medics, crewmen, etc are equipped with the TWP carbine. It has a high rate of fire and is very effective at close range, but accuracy decreases significantly beyond 50m.

This faction is a well equipped peer adversary for UNSC Marines and ODSTs. The goal of this mod is to add some much needed variety in adversaries.

I had originally planned to include a squad automatic weapon as well, but that would have meant yet another mod. So in the end I just used a battle rifle with a drum magazine for the SAW gunner. Maybe some day I'll learn how to model and code my own weapons, but I wouldn't expect that anytime soon.

Unlikely to be honest. I dislike the unrealistic idea that every weapon in the galaxy is made by the UNSC. I made this faction specifically to add more variety and realism. If Gao has the resources and capability to design and build their own aircraft, then it's logical that they'd manufacture their own small arms as well.

Sorry to be the guy to ask, but any chance youd be willing to make a version that has them using standard optre weapons and without the extra weapon requirements?
