Description

SHIPWRECKED!

August 4th, 2041

About 20 years after The White Plague, an infectious disease killing most women and turning men into zombie-like monsters, Ravaged the world...

You were travelling across the Mediterranean sea from Egypt to Europe in a small sailboat, hoping to find a better life there, but a storm took your sails and rigging... and practically all of your gear. After drifting some days at the sea with no food or drink, current took you near an island, and you managed to paddle your way on it...

So... as the night grows dark, you find yourself on a beach. No weapon, no gear, no supplies... all you have is an almost empty box of matches. Your boat is definately not seaworthy anymore, so continuing your voyage is not an option. You are forced to stay on this island!

Prepare to get sucked into a series of unforseen and violent events going on there...

ABOUT THE SCENARIO

- A SINGLE PLAYER ONLY mission, built around Ravage mod.

- There is a PROPER STORY and also an ENDGAME!

- The story is told through INTEL (diaries, notes, map boards, whiteboards, computer files etc) and BRIEFING FILES (kinda depicting conversations with AI characters). Please note that DIARY intel files are DATED, so you'll know if it is a new one or decades old...

- Divided in TWO PARTS:

THE FIRST HALF is very much about the storyline. It is heavily scripted, 'follow the plot' kind of a thing, with some action.

THE SECOND HALF is somewhat different, with emphasis on action and sandbox/survival elements. Overall a bit more challenging.

- Lots of customized locations... around 35? Whenever you find a new location, it will automatically be marked on your map.

- Lots of stuff to do! Most of it is TASKED, specially in the first half, but not all... a perceptive player might find some 'unmarked' quests/thingies... or not.

- Lots of interaction with lots of AI characters! And in a few larger settlements I built a system, in which what a certain character has to say depends on your 'achievements' in that said settlement...

- Some PUZZLE SOLVING situations... easy or hard, please do tell after finishing this?

- Ladies!

- Zombies! This is a Ravage mission, after all.

- Thirst and hunger system... the one from Ravage Mod.

- Custom SLEEPING SYSTEM! Lots of bitc*ing been going on about the latest Ravage sleep system, and frankly I agree... so I made my own. There will be a guide about it in-game, when the second half kicks in... not too much sleeping before that, only in some points when it serves the plot.

- Custom weapons pool! Or in fact two... it kinda changes at some point.

- Unlimited saving, stamina is disabled!

- Some vehicles, but not many. Apocalypse, yo...

- Some weird humor... and rude language. Definately rated R!

- Music... if you manage to complete a certain task.

- No trading, no radiation...

SOME NOTES...

If you are new to RAVAGE MOD, you might wanna check out https://ravage.fandom.com/wiki/Ravage_Wikia

You WILL NEED all the DLC and the mods listed on the right, but I guess you could also use ENHANCED MOVEMENT, BLOODLUST or ENHANCED ARMA 3 INVENTORY... but please DO NOT use anything that will change AI behaviour! And if you use Enhanced Movement, be careful... some places are meant to be entered through the gate, going over walls might in some places mess with critical mission mechanics...

You need to READ every task description, intel, briefing file and hint CAREFULLY to make progress and to make sense of the plot... I know there is lots of stuff to read, but please pay attention!

I spent an INSANE amount of time testplaying and perfecting this mission, but with so much mechanics, you might find something broken? Please REPORT, if you do! And feel free to comment this mission...

The mission now only works with Contact dlc ON but if i activate this dlc, map and briefing system doesn't work so i can't read intel :\ plz fix it.

Operator19 good to hear some of my scens still work... but yes, most of them don't. Because the mods and the game are constantly updated... and also, I think one of my main issues was that Arma3 was (probably) never meant for missions of this caliber? When you got hundreds of triggers running, weird/inconsistent thing start happening... I did a metric sh*t-ton of testing with all my scenarios to make sure everything works, and still sometimes and for someones thing still got broken. The way of the Arma, right? Also, my scripting-skills weren't all that mad, which might had something to do with the way things went.

Anyway, hopefully Arma4 will provide a better platform for this kinda mission editing.

Ran into the same issue with the Gold as Spextor, even tried a little zuesing to figure it out and only thing I can see is somewhere with an update to something the trigger got wonked. to bad too as I was having a good time with this one. I know you are taking a break from Arma and all but let us know when and or if you are returning to making these great stories, have had a great time with all the ones that still work.

Spext0r™ I'm taking a break from arma... no schedule yet for fixing my missions. But maybe one day...

converting any of my missions to coop would be problematic plus I have zero experience on mp mission making... and right now I just don't have it in me to take on the learning curve which with arma is (probably) a steep one.

But thanks for playing my missions and for the positive feedback!

Righto, I do enjoy this story side of the scenario next to the explorative scenario of Once upon a Livonia. Besides the problems, hope it all goes swimingly soon since they are good. I was wondering if there was ever a small project chance to try an experimental two player scenario since one of my friends are itching to play this, ofcourse the 1st slot[host] being the one to do stuff only. But even then; Hope you have good days in the following with these good scenarios!

Spext0r™ hey man I've been hearing a lot about this mission lately, and I think some updates of the game or mods have broken this mission... or something.

It used to work, it really did... many people played it through with absolutely no problem... I know know this because those people gave me feedback on my mission, right? And then one day it just got broken. Some genuine and proven Arma bullsh*t.

I tried to look into this, but once I opened this up in the editor and remembered how much stuff there was in this mission that could go wrong and cause problems and how much sh*t I would have to check... it just made me wanna puke. I'm not kidding. It took me 400-500 hours to do this in the first place.

If, and thats a big if, I someday get this sucker back on the road, I'll let you all know.

Sadly as soon as i get the option to retrieve the treasure, the "gold bars" do not appear in my backpack whatsoever and no matter what it gives me the option again and again with no avail of gaining them. I wonder if something was overlooked or not but that's about the problem i have for going forwards in the story.
