And now you are adding VTE, a mod that overhauls nearly all of vanilla rimworld, including three of the four DLCs. Do you know how many textures there are in rimworld? And we aren't even going overboard with the HD aspect, we just double the resolution. Many modders don't even consider that enough. So what do you want exactly? For us to lower back the resolution to vanilla numbers? That would undo the very purpose of this mod. Compress them? Again, same thing.
If your PC can't handle HD textures, don't use them. It's quite simple. The same aspect applies to mods for any other game! This mod is aimed at people who play in 4K, because that's where the vanilla resolution really shows its weakness.
