Description
Corn Stalk by MrMaison

This is the official beginning of the agriculture series. First we have Corn (Maize) which is a very well known agricultural plant cultivated all over the world. It was first domesticated by indigenous poeple in Southern Mexico around 10,000 years ago.
Maize is actually a grass in the Gramineae family which includes wheat, rye, barley, rice, sorghum and sugarcane. There are many forms of Maize. The interesting thing is this plant is not used only for human food consumption. Most of the usage is for other things like ethonal (and other biofuels) corn syrup, lubricants, animal feed and even biodegradable plastics just to name a few.The corn we know today is very different from the original grass due to centuries of manipulation. It is a very versatile and important plant. I just hope farmers find a way to deal with fertilizer runoff that pollute waterways.
More info in Wiki- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maize Also check out this cool video about the many uses of corn https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGJ6D3KNJ9E

The aim is to provide more realistic looking agriculture plants for the game making our farms more fun to build. I also wonder what our Cims been eating all this time :) This is a single corn stalk plant that can be used in a versatile way to build large corn fields or even small ones in a Cim's back yard. I highly recommend using Prop Line Tool mod to make rows then you can use Move It mod to copy/paste for faster field building. This plant will also be a requirement for the upcoming Corn Field which will be made as an Industries DLC functional asset. Stay tuned for more agriculture plants coming really soon.

STATS:
Corn Stalk- 22 tris 1024 textures.

Do Cims get lost in your corn fields and can never get out? Here is your trailer for your asset. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7afc9gTbVFI

OH and don't forget Wheat stalks..... you know I could truly go on and on with the agricultural aspect. Not only did I grow up on a farm of corn and alfalfa (hay) fields but our farm had a huge garden (called the kid farm) with carrots, watermelon, tomatoes, cantaloupe, onions and our own Snow Queen corn for eating (the stuff in the fields was fed to the cows or sold), rhubarb, sunflowers (You already have :) ) and other things also. I won't even go into the herbs and flowers we had all over the place. So I am not sure what all you have in mind but I am excited to be sure as I love all of your work I have seen. I recently, while doing some research of my own, ran across an original post of yours asking about what was involved with making items for city skylines on Simtropolis many years ago and you have held true to your original statement that you wanted to bring realism to the game and everything you do does that. THANK YOU! :) Now I will stop spamming your board! LOL

You know I gave up searching for realistic corn for my Nebraska state where I am from. I can now officially finish my map I started ages ago but never finished because I couldn't make rows of corn. You have officially removed that excuse :)
