CP G.I. Joe 'Snake Eyes' (WOTC)

Description
This mod provides a character pool file for G.I. Joe soldier 'Snake Eyes'.

I know there are other mods already containing this G.I Joe character, but I wanted to keep it simple and release it without too much dependencies.

Details:
The mod contains 9 different uniform variants. Please review the attached pictures.
  • All v1.x variants are made of standard XCOM kevlar uniforms. So they give a clean, but basic look and feel.
  • All v2.x variants are using arms, legs and trosos of the factions heros (Reapers, Skirmishers and Templars). So they are much closer to the real character look.
  • Additionally some shoulder, arm and leg pads + other accessories are used.

Dependencies:

Installation:
As this is a character pool file you need to manually:
  1. Copy the character pool file to XCOM 2 WotC CP importable directory.
  2. Start XCOM 2 WotC and import the soldier from CP importable directory.
Mod directory: [your-Steam-directory]\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\1878422079\
CP file name: [mod-directory]\CharacterPool\GI_Joe_Snake-Eyes.bin

Recommendations:
Even though they are not needed by my mod I do strongly recommend to use 'Uniformity' by RealityMachina and 'Use My Class' by krj12. So you will be able to keep this soldier look even if you apply the higher armour types and ensure your soldier will become a swordsman by first promotion to a ranger.

Credits:
All credits for the other mentioned mods here in my post go to their original developers.
I want to thank them all for their great work, which enabled me to create and use all my character pool soldiers.

The attached pictures are screenshots taken with 'Unrestricted Customization' mod enabled.

Misc:
PS: As they are like 'Yin & Yang' or 'Black & White' you might also be interessted in my other CP mod. And if you like it, please rate it.

The Alternative Mod Launcher (AML) also solves that issue.

Only one thing in addition. The imported Snakes Eyes may have lost the settings for the visor because of missing mod(s). So please remove them from character pool and reimported them once more.

Honestly I did not play XCOM 2 for a long long time now. I only heard of many issues due to the update of a new game launcher. I can confirm I had the same issue as you described. But I believe I have good news how to workaround. Please check the forum thread below and follow the instructions on creating a shortcut to old launcher. This worked for me.

ok I think I know what it is. my game is saying that the strange aeons mod is only available for xcom 2 vanilla not WOTC. is there a workaround?

@sniper677 thanks for the quick reply. yeh so I have all the depended mods installed. when I import the outfits they all have the snake eyes visor missing. The balaclava is there just no visor. hope that makes sense

@seanthepain

Not quite sure what you mean, but did you install all needed mods mentioned in the 'Dependencies' section above?

Does the Visor not show up in WOTC for anyone else?

@M1saint

I am sorry to hear you have such issue. As I never got any complaints like yours so far, I believe it might be related to the launcher and all the loading issues with it since last updates. As I cannot check on Mac hardware myself I fear I can't help you. Hope you get it somehow working.
