Objectives

Blue and Teal - Win by capturing Kaesong, the capital city of Goryeo (capture by building a town center inside the torches) and by killing King U (green’s hero) and General Choe (red’s hero).

Red and Green - Win by holding the capital city of Korea (Kaesong) for 1 hour while also killing the two rebellious generals (Blue and Teal’s heroes named General Yi Seong-gye and General Jo Min-soo).

Yellow and Grey - You are the scholar-official of the royal court. You may support the revolutionary general and help him establish a dynasty that will last 500 years OR you can remain loyal to King U and assist General Choe Yeong in defeating the rebels. You may swear your fealty by bringing your main heroes to the palace while King U or General Yi are present.

Purple - Win by capturing Kaesong (the capital city of Korea) and by having 300 kills.

Orange - Win by capturing three relics located around the map and by collecting 5,000 gold.

Korean players (except Blue and Green) can achieve solo victory by capturing Kaesong only when Purple and Orange are defeated.

Hints

P1 General Yi Seong-gye
Bring the Supply Cart to Seogyeong to receive additional resources.
You receive a steady spawn of bodyguards that will give their lives to protect their general (General Yi must survive).
When you capture Liaodong (purple’s northernmost Town Center), a group of Elite Jurchen Cavalry will spawn along with 1,000 gold.
You will be rewarded with 3,000 gold when you successfully capture Kaesong within the first 30 minutes.
Yi Bang-won, son of general Yi is determined to see his father on the throne. He will kill anyone who stands against their cause including petty scholars of Goryeo. If he moves close to Jeong Mong-ju/Jeong Dojeon, he slays them immediately (600 gold per kill).

P2 General Choe Yeong
You are the legendary general of Goryeo who knows what loyalty means. You cannot switch sides so you must fight for King U whether you like it or not. Protect the dynasty and kill the usurper to restore the peace.
You have inspired young men of Goryeo to protect its country from a treasonous general. You receive a steady spawn of Royal Cavalry as long as General Choe remains alive.

P3 King U
You are a blind fool to have trusted general Yi. He has 50,000 troops determined to kill all those who oppose him. Stop him from advancing any further and save Goryeo from collapsing.
You may ask for direct assistance from the Ming emperor by placing King U and a Ming diplomat in front of Manwoldae in Kaesong.

P4 Jeong Mong-ju
You are the head of the scholar-officials. Therefore you will receive a powerful monk spawn every 5 minutes at the capital city (max 10).
You must eliminate the leader of the opposition, Jeong Dojeon, to win. Since his notion of peace clashes with yours, he won’t live long. You receive 3,000 gold upon his death. Support your general/king by sending some of its bounties.

P5 General Jo Min-soo
You have decided to support the rebellious general. You cannot switch sides. You must fight until the bitter end and help general Yi establish a new dynasty or die trying.
You receive a steady spawn of Northern Cavalry as long as general Jo is alive.

P6 Ming Dynasty
You own the city of Liaodong at the start which creates a powerful Jurchen Cavalry every 2 minutes. You must defend the region from the Korean invaders.
At the city of Shandong, you receive a hefty amount of resources along with a steady spawn of Chu Ko Nu. Defend it with life as this is your main base.
Hongwu Emperor from the Chinese mainland will send you reinforcements of powerful Ming Cavalry every 30 minutes as long as you own Shandong. Use this advantage to defeat the Koreans and capture Kaesong.
You may form a temporary alliance with King U by sending a diplomat to Manwoldae in Kaesong. Both players will receive 2k gold and some Ming reinforcements for King U will spawn in the city.
Send your diplomat to Kaesong to receive 300 gold every 10 minutes as long as green holds the city.

P7 Jeong Dojeon
You are the head of the scholar-officials. Therefore you will receive a powerful monk spawn every 5 minutes at the capital city (max 10). Your monks are slightly better than Jeong Mong-ju’s (yellow).
You must eliminate the leader of the opposition, Jeong Mong-ju, to win. Since his notion of peace clashes with yours, he won’t live long. You receive 3,000 gold upon his death. Support your general/king by sending some of its bounties.

P8 Wokou
In the corner of the map, purchasable units are available for you to hire. These units cost various resources so think strategically before purchasing them.
You receive 600 gold per buildings razed (10, 25, 50 and 100 buildings).
When you build a Town Center in any of the Korean cities, you gain 800 gold and twice as much gold when you capture Kaesong.
In case you are struggling to land in Korea, you will receive resources from the island every 15 minutes up to 1 hour.
At 45 minutes, you will receive a powerful reinforcement from the Japanese Shogun who hates Koreans as much as you do. Use this advantage to lay waste to all of Korea.

Introduction

This custom scenario depicts the fall of an ancient kingdom of Goryeo which was quickly replaced by the rebellious general who established a new dynasty that has lasted up until 1897. Hence the rise of the Joseon dynasty. This scenario has a hefty amount of restrictions and modifications which will force players to value their resources more dearly while decreasing the time it takes to build an army. Each player must fulfill his unique objectives to achieve victory. Let me know if you find bugs or anything else that irritates you in terms of historical accuracy or game balance. Your feedback is valued more than anything. If you like this scenario, please give it a big thumbs up as it keeps me motivated to make more entertaining maps. Anyways I hope you enjoy this one as much as I had creating it and I hope to catch a game with you all very soon.
Thanks!
