The Thorn is a former fencer who has lost her sight. Once an acclaimed duelist, she has had to adapt to her condition and enhance her other senses in order to live in darkness. She has developed a fighting style based on listening to her environment, and relying mainly on parry and riposte to take down her opponents.
In combat, she switches between two main stances.
She starts in her defensive stance, in which she debuffs and marks her enemies, making it easier for her to dodge and finish them later. Thanks to her sharpened senses, she’ll also be able to protect her allies from upcoming attacks.
When she draws her blade, she takes the best of her fencing skills and becomes a deadly threat to any monster that tries to attack her. She adapts her guarde, taunting enemies to draw attention from others, or answering their attacks with a strike of her blade to bleed them out.

However, being blind is not an easy burden. The Thorn will not be able to do many things at once, and if she gets hit, she may lose focus, causing her to go back into defensive stance.
Also, note that being able to see is important for disarming traps and moving around.


Her name is Marlene.


All skills targeting ennemies bypass stealth.


THRUST

A simple hit that gets ACC bonus against Marked.
Offensive : Damage bonus against Marked.
Defensive : Stun, with more chances to Stun Marked.


SINGLE OUT

Mark Target.
Defensive : destealth and debuff ACC
Offensive : Breaks guard and debuff Crits receive


WILT

Bleed target and debuff other ennemies.
Add Speed.


PERFORATE

Hit with armor piercing and debuff the target.
Activates Perforate Riposte (1 turn) adding Bleed chances to Riposte.


DARE
o o o o // Valid in offensive stance
A taunt that marks the Thorn and clear allies marks.
Activates dare Riposte (1 turn) adding Damage and CRIT on Riposte and adding Dodge.


BLOSSOM
o o o - // Valid in defensive stance
Gives self Prot and Heal.
Heal all Guarded and guarding allies.


HEARKEN
o o o o // Valid in defensive stance
Stress Heal self and Guard an ally (3 turn).
Activate heeder Riposte (3 turn) : Mark on Riposte, but deals no damage.


FENCER STANCE (This skill replace your moving skill, meaning you can't move in combat)

Allows you the switch between defensive and offensive mode.
Offensive mode enable riposte but you have chances to go be destabilized mode when getting hit.



HONE SENSES Time Cost : 3
4 Battles - Party Buff
Damage against Marked.
Add ACC depending on the Light Level. (Max buff when light is at zero)



SPARRING SESSION Time Cost : 5
4 Battles - Self + One target
Add Melee Damage and CRIT, Add Dodge.


WARNING BELLS Time Cost : 2
1 Round - Party Buff
Lower Chances to get Ambushed at night.


HEARING FOCUS Time Cost : 1
4 Battles - Party Buff
Increase Chances to Surprise Monster and Lower Chances of getting Surprised
Lower Scouting Chances.



Blind Journey
Allows you to get your first Thorn as early as possible.

Pierce Through the Darkness
Remove Stress Malus on torchless/low light run. Active for the next mission.


This mod should work whether or not you have installed DLC in your game.
It contains the Crimson Court and the Color of Madness trinkets for the class.
