Description
Uninstall Rimefeller Version 1.0

With this mod, you can uninstall most of the buildings from the Rimefeller to freely move them about.

"Most"? What buildings can't be uninstalled?
Oh, that would be the oil wells. See, it's not that they can't be made to be uninstallable, more that when you uninstall them, weird things tend to happen. Specifically, the oil well will keep its drill progress when uninstalled. This results in situations that make no sense, like you move an oil well that's halfway done drilling, and all of a sudden the new spot is drilled halfway through. Of more concern, however, is when a well is fully drilled.

When a well finishes the drilling process, a building known as a "Well Head" is placed under it. This means that, should your well get destroyed, you can put a new one over the old one's spot and get right back to pumping oil without needing to drill again. But when you move a well, the wellhead stays in place. This means you can build a well and fully drill it to get the wellhead, move the now fully drilled well, and build a new one over the well head to make that one fully drilled, and rinse and repeat.

The point is, moveable oil wells just don't work super well. Uh, no pun intended. So I left it out.

Are there any requirements or compatability issues?
This is a companion mod to my other mod, Uninstall Rimworld, which does the same for buildings in the core game. Uninstall Rimefeller however does not require Uninstall Rimworld to work, but it does require Rimefeller. Obviously. Make sure this mod is below Rimefeller on the load order. Obviously. Other than that, shouldn't be any problems.

Are there any other issues I should be aware of?
Yeah, if you uninstall the Autoclave while it's running, you'll lose your progress. This is because work is lost whenever the autoclave loses power, which necessarily happens the moment anything is built or installed for at least a second. This isn't a bug, just be aware of it so you don't accidentally ruin your stuff.

Also, at one point, I got an issue uninstalling the pipelines during playtesting that resulted in an exception being generated every tick the minified pipeline existed. I have not, however, been able to replicate this issue, so make of that what you will. As of my last playtest, uninstalling the pipelines worked fine.

Any chance we will get an Uninstall Rimatomics? I am looking at some of the benches in that mod which would be nice to move into more dedicated rooms.

Oh, yeah, that'll totally happen.

lol try having a raid happen with lord of the rims installed. Some guy turned around and said the raiders started fleeing and taking things. A enemy pawn decided to STEAL the gate off their fortress and run off with it. Minifying items brings for some strange happenings on the Rim.

That, and mass and storage category.

And don't worry about feeling weird about carrying about a refinery... they're pretty heavy.
