Description
Updated to the Twisted & the Twilight DLC ! The time for the wood elf has come!


This is a submod that add some of the missing enchanted arrow option for wood elf archers to Cataph's Closer To Tabletop mod .


For now, this mod adds 5 new units to the original 4 wood elf factions that start in Athel Loren (the AI faction can still use them in campaign since recruitment is tied to building. It is just that in custom battle only the OG 4 Athel Loren factions will have access to them if you use the unlocker) :


- Glade Guard (Swiftshiver Shards):
Standard archer but with swiftshiver shards, therefore almost double their damage output. It is expensive just like all enchanted arrows, but glade guard is core unit therefore you can enjoy unlimited supply of this unit as long as you can afford it. I envision this unit as a late game core archer choice for a (relatively) cheap price but lots of fire power.

- Deepwood Scouts (Hagbane Tips):
Deepwood scouts with poison. An alternative to glade guard with hagbane if vanguard deployment and stalk is what you want. This is a special choice and is as expensive as Chaos Warrior, thus there's caps for this unit. If you run out of caps for other deepwood scout or want stalk and poison, those elf will be your solution.

- Deepwood Scouts (Arcane Bodkins):
Your answer to heavy armor. Per tabletop rule this type of arrow has a -3 armor modifier thus it has very good armor piercing damage. Expensive as F just like tabletop models and is special choice with unit caps. Deal some very serious damage to basically any elite unit except some dwarfs. Use is as a inferior waystalker substitute for AP damage.

- Glade Rider (Swiftshiver Shards):
Your double shot missile cav, works just like glade guard with swiftshiver shards but much faster(yes 90 speed). Core choice therefore enjoy your unlimited recruitment. For Orion this might be a better choice than standard glade guard or deepwood scouts since fire power wise 2x60 > 80 and Orion has upkeep reduction for them.

- Glade Rider (Arcane Bodkins):
Your AP missile cav. Arcane bodkins is as expensive as forgeword stuff but this one is an unlimited core choice. Works similar to outrider but less damage in exchange of higher speed. Your answers to Bretonnia and Empire cavs.


This mod should be capatible with basically anything that works with CTT overhaul. This mod is also incorporate the unit cap system from our script lord DrunkFamingo's Table Top Caps mod . Basically, glade rider and glade guard is the unlimited core choice, and the two deepwood scouts unit is special choice worth 2 point (they're more expensive than chaos warrior, go figure).

When playing Kemmler with this mod a second Kemmler faction is generated.

@Asseylum Since I play with CTT mod on for most of the time, I didn't have time to maintain both mod so I make it private. I was going to wait for the wood elf update to update my mod, but since you asked, I will make it up to date with the current wh2 version and make it public. Just give me a day or two.

@Lampros Yes and No.
In tabletop, Arcane Bodkins(treated as a weapon) are 30 inch range Strength 3 with -3 to armor save, while the Bow of Avelon is 24 inch range strength 4(built-in -1 to armor save) magical fire and have additional -1 to armor save against Force of Destruction.
In CTT's formula, Strength 4 does deal more damage but the AP ratio of HE sister (-2 at max) would be lower than the -3 of arcane bodkins.
So HE sister does have stronger total damage, but when against heavily armored foe (like dwarf) arcane bodkins is stronger.
