Description
The mod load order listed on this page is mandatory, not a friendly suggestion. Make sure you have it correct before posting a bug report. The majority of users do not use a correct mod order, don't be one of those people.

Communication Procedures

Steam has several limitations for managing communication between mod authors and the users of those mods. Our preferred method of communication has transitioned to Discord. While we will do our best to reply on Steam, Discord will be the ideal location for questions, feedback or suggestions, and general discussion revolving around our mods and Conan Exiles.

The Less Building Placement Restrictions mod, or LBPR for short, is intended to make building and placement easier. It offers a wide, and ever growing list of features that can make your building dreams come true. From having a Green Arrow give directions on which direction a wall is placing, to creating a bigger window using a custom Overlap Exception for Doorways and Fences, to being able to merge placeables together via overlapping them together to create unique shapes, to quality of life fixes or improvements, to easier Thrall placement, to decorating a cave or even taking over your favorite NPC camp and turning it into your own. If you are a building fan at all, you will find enjoyment with this mod.

And, as of version 7.0.0, all the major features of LBPR can be toggled on or off for your server or single player playthrough as you desire!

Highlights
  • Build anywhere you want to, whether that's an NPC camp, a dungeon, or a cave. This can be toggled so that anybody can build anywhere, just admin's, or nobody.

  • Multiple different blockers you would normally receive with vanilla have been turned off, though they can also be toggled back on as you desire.

  • Thrall and Pet placement is easier then ever with it's own sets of toggles.

  • Arrow directionals to help make building placement easier than ever.

  • Dozens of custom overlap exceptions made for a multitude of different building scenarios, offering more freedom than ever to help you reach your building goals.

Troubleshooting, Known Issues and Other Important Information

You MUST read this thread on troubleshooting, known issues, and other important information before posting a bug report.

Toggle Features

As previously mentioned, LBPR now features full Toggle controls. This is best used with hades ModControlPanel, but you may also enable the console using Admin CMD commands. All that information and more can be found in the PDF I've created.

Most of the toggles are fairly self explanatory, but if you want additional information, this PDF should answer all your questions. The Toggle selection is extensive, pretty much every feature that has been a staple of LBPR has been modified so it can be turned on or off.

Overlaps Edition

This is already contained within the PDF above, but if you are going to enable for building overlaps, caution is advised. A patch from Funcom in June 2019 made it possible for buildings to despawn when they are identical and are overlapping. Please see this PDF on what to look out for, and some basic examples on how to work around it.

Update Policy

Conan Exiles, as with many other games with mod support, can sometimes suffer from when mod authors decide to no longer update or abandon their mods. Since April of 2018, I have maintained that I will always keep my mods updated and available, and I do take that responsibility seriously.

Along with that commitment, is my desire to grow and improve all my mods. Sometimes my vision differs from the players that use my mods, and sometimes changes are done because of player input. Inevitably, an update will eventually come for one of my's mod whenever necessary, whether that is bug fixes, improvements, or new features. What is unexpected is the volume of negative comments that I receive with every update.

Here is my update policy. The world is a 24 hour world, and when I update a mod, it may not match when your server happens to restart. I cannot control that, everybody has different update schedules. Neither am I able to control when you receive a mismatch error, or have issues downloading the mod. Mod authors have NO CONTROL when issues between you, Steam, or your server occur. At the top of this workshop page is the most common troubleshooting steps I can suggest you try, but outside of that, I cannot provide any further support.

I am committed to making my mods the best that they can be. But I need you to also be on board with helping me achieve those goals, and to be flexible whenever a mod update is planned. Please keep this in mind when leaving feedback.

@Multigun - Having an issue building in my base all the sudden. I'm getting a "Building here would block your spawn point" error. I just noticed the error today after I'd been gone for a couple days, and the only mods that have updated in the past few days are Builder's Workbench Reborn, LBPR, Emberlight, and DMT. I've reached out to the other mod devs too in case it might be something on their end.

okay going through it right now. hopefully its an easy fix thanks for the speedy reply!

And no, your issue isn't something widespread. On our discord, there were two people who had random placement issues, and both of them were related to mod load orders. Everything else is reporting fine....

Step 1)

Check your mod load order.

Step 2)

Check your toggle settings, the placement near beds is now off by default and could affect you depending on how you have your bases set up.

since the update none of my clan members can build in their bases or anywhere nearby. the only places we can build is where no one has built anything so far. is this something that can be fixed by loading an older version of the mod? or is anyone else having this issue?

Thanks for the update as always
