A Sickle in the Dark (COOP 4/SP)

After the discovery of a vast mine of rare earth materials in the volcanic areas of Tanoa, Russia sent peacekeeping forces to help the locals secure the mines against bandit raids. It wasn't long before the mines were under the protection of Russian Federation forces. The local bandit group Syndikat begin to attack these mines using insurgency tactics. Car bombs, mortar strikes, and RPG attacks became commonplace for Russian FOBs and mines. After a particularly brutal raid on the Blue Pearl complex, Russia declared a state of emergency and dedicated MSV and VDV troops to the island in hopes of eradicating the insurgency. Syndikat has steadily improved their arsenal though, stealing supplies from the Russians and also being helped by some benefactor.

Syndikat ambushed a BMP convoy that was headed back to FOB Rasclov. While this wouldn't be such an important moment on its own, one of the BMPs was holding a sensitive folder that shows troop movement and logistics routes. This file must be recaptured before Syndikat can decipher it. Your mission is to infiltrate the town, locate the file, and then exfil. Stealth is encouraged since Syndikat has heavily fortified this area. A full scale operation would take too much time to coordinate, so we're sending the best we have in. Good luck comrades.

Players must quickly assault a Syndikat held town as they search for a stolen file that has troop movements for the area. Using the cover of night, silenced weapons, and night vision players will have to get the drop on the bandits, if they allow themselves to get bogged down the superior numbers will overwhelm them. Ambushes and roadside bombs are common tactics of Syndikat.
