One of the best games ever made. Main story is overrated in my opinion. It's way too long and there's a lot of filler. The monster designs are really cool, each one looks amazing. They're all unique and interesting, with different attack patterns, strengths, weaknesses and abilities. They require you to actually learn how each one works and adapt to them. There's a few infuriating bugs. Some side missions are really interesting and fun. There's multiple endings to both the main story and dlcs, all feeling fluid and never feeling out of place (except one ending of one of the dlcs). There's a hell of a lot of dialogue, most of which is just exposition. Gets very boring at times. Also there is a hell of a lot of side quests, most of which use the same formula of searching for glowing red clues and following a trail. 100 hours of these becomes very tedious. But the world and cutscenes are fantastic.

DLCs
Sometimes insanely boring, but the stories do have some amazing moments. NPCs have dialogue based on big events that have recently happened in the story. Makes it much more immersive. The cutscenes and boss fights are absolutely amazing. Especially towards the end. The fights, the music and the camera shots are some of the best in any game.

Pretty good honestly. Music is some of the best in any game. Graphics are amazing for 2008. The gameplay is mostly decent and very fun. Some parts of the levels are quite unclear or just badly designed, but there are multiple ways to get through them and there is pretty much endless replayability. The story is crap, cringe, uninteresting and confusing. Overall pretty good.

Remember when they said Cyberpunk's NPCs would have their own daily routines, and it failed miserably? Yeah well this game did it perfectly almost three years ago. This game is so much better in every way. Almost no bugs. By far the best game I have ever played. Characters are interesting. I've never cared more for fictional characters than in this game. The world is so detailed. You might find some random guy stuck in a bear trap, and if you help him, he might return the favour a while later. Or you can wander around, and you might stumble across some angry sheriff who needs you to find some bounties. You might find a small town that is almost completely abandoned, overrun with disease. You might search for clues to try and track down a serial killer. You might encounter brutal gangs that cut up their victims. The animations are perfect. Voice acting is perfect. Visuals are the best I've seen in any game. Music is pretty good. Some really emotional scenes. The main character has a brilliant arc, and slowly realises that his ways are wrong. It was until about 110 hours of playing that I had finished the story, along with roaming around and finding lots of interesting things going on. The dogs in this game are so cute. There are city environments, deserts, snowy mountains, swamps, caves. The members of your camp often sit around, telling interesting stories that explain a bit of their backstory. You can choose whether or not to accept certain rewards, or help certain people. There is subtle foreshadowing for some major plot points. So much thought has gone into this game. Even the flipping random encounters give you extra lore about specific places. I plan on replaying the story, doing a few secret encounters that I missed the first time, and paying more attention to the dialogue. There is a lot more I could say, but just play it already. If you do get it, do not rush the story. Explore, do every single side quest you find. Do all the bounties. Hunt. Just enjoy everything this game has. I haven't played much online, and from what I've heard it's pretty bad. Overall 10/10

Edit: currently replaying story, and I'm still finding new random encounters, new camp dialogues. Genuinely the best game. Just play it

Edit 2: when replaying, there was a mission where you have to break a character out of jail. The game tells you to bust open the wall, but I found that you can kill the sheriff and loot the keys from his corpse. I was just expecting the mission to fail or something, but wow the thought that went into this game.

Edit 4: still replaying, found out that the two characters you can play as, have completely different drawing skills and handwriting when you write in your journal. I was not expecting that at all. It's awesome.

Also found out on my replay that camp members can find you out in the open world and offer you missions. I never knew this in my first play through. The level of detail is absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mental.

Not brilliant. Levels were more frustrating and unclear than the main game. Doesn't add a whole lot to the story. BUT the twist with the gnomes is really well done. The ending is traumatic and also really clever. Ties in well with the main game. As usual the music is amazing. The DLC has its good moments, not as good as the main game. Pretty cheap though very short. Recommended.

Really really really good. Longer than the first game. Atmosphere is great. Enemies are terrifying and unique. Levels are sometimes a bit unclear and theres a lot of trial and error. Music is amazing. For a game where theres no dialogue, the storytelling is really good. I'll have to recover from that ending. A bit expensive considering the length of the game. Probably get on a sale. Recommended.

Finished it in 3-4 hours. Very fun game. Really nice music. The creepy characters are designed really well. Each enemy is different. The two in the kitchen were more funny than scary. Sometimes hard to know where I was supposed to go. Got stuck a couple times. Didn't encounter any bugs in the entire playthrough. I recommend it. Will probably be getting the DLC and/or the sequel.

Great level design and terrifying music. The way the story comes together at the end of the DLC is so satisfying. Unique and terrifying enemies. Sometimes the game gets stuck on the loading screen but all you have to do is restart the game and it will be fine. As impressive as they are, the long cutscenes can get very boring after the first few times. Wish they were skippable. They definitely could've done with making a few more character models. Apart from that, very good for an indie horror game. Definitely play it if you get the chance.
