After more than a decade of its release, I have finally completed Okami and became a top dog.
There are so many things that I love about this game, the used of Japanese mythology and folklore as its setting, the ink painting art style, the music, the build-up to the bosses, Ammy herself...

I'm very very glad that I'm able to experience Okami and enjoy it so much. Coincidentally, I played the game during spring season and finished the game around the time an eclipse happened. The finale (Reset ~ ("Thank You" Version)) got me sobbing so hard that I needed to get a hold of myself to beat the final boss. Perhaps it's fate, I'm so happy that the game means a lot to me...

Will be taking my time to look up the mythology inspiration to understand the characters more and indulge in the 5hrs+ long beautifully crafted soundtracks. If you're reading this on the 20th, happy 18th anniversary of Okami since it was released! Wait, 2006 was 18 years ago... I- *turn into dust*
