I feel like a child again. Daring to go farther and see more while exploring, building cozy little homes and opulent halls, dodging under great blows and striking at openings in combat, and all with friends at my side to share this great journey, to drink and relax together, and to reminisce about long afterwards.

This game isn't even done yet, and it's given me a present that was well worth the price. I can hardly dream of the heights this work of art will become.

There are many different cultures within this fantastic game, which differentiates the content different players enjoy. You have your PvPers, jumping people that never had a ghost of a chance of fighting them or facing off in epic dogfights. There are haulers who find pleasure in the simplicity of an honest lifestyle of moving goods from port to port in ships larger than a city block. There are miners, making money hand over fist to fly asteroid to asteroid and then sell what they found like true dwarven space-farers. There are explorers like myself, who get themselves a ship and then go out in search of the most beautiful sights the galaxy has to offer, from nebulae to white dwarf stars to strange anomalies to alien ruins or just to see what humanity has built in the lifeless floating void.
And all those players bond over that one furtive truth of Elite Dangerous. The Grind is never over.
So, get yourself a ship space cowboy, get yourself a playlist, and find out what kind of life you want to live in the stars.

The alarm is tripped, and there's 14 seconds to get to the other side of the ship through 7 locked doors and over 30 enemies half of which have shields and guns and the other half have glitch teleporters and swords. 13 seconds later you're breathing vacuum with that device you stole strapped to your hip, every tool you brought on the mission has been expended, and your pod blew up when the ship got shot at by pirates. All you've got left is your shotgun and about 30 seconds of air, and you just watched the station go screaming past.
This game is about puzzles, how to get to your target and how to get out, one problem at a time, door to door and enemy to enemy.

The 'Horror' tag should be higher on the list to describe this game. It isn't tailored, it's natural and heightened by the feeling of hopelessness. But don't give in, do not go quietly into that good night. The oceans call, we must have the will to traverse them.

Side note, watch out for the griefers in multiplayer.

I'll always remember this game as one of my first on Steam, and I loved it to death.
One of the best brutal platformers I've played.

I've never played a game that had such toxic players and enjoyed it so much.
