The Missing: J.J Macfield and the Island of Memories is a tetric, gory game, where you control J.J Macfield a girl who follows the trail to her loved friend Emily which has gone missing in the middle of the night, as you go you start to see a scenery and weird distortions that troubles or calms the mind. The game's most important gameplay mechanic is that you have to damage yourself phisically so that you can go through the different puzzles, making the path to Emily a complete suffering.
As you continue your path in search of your friend, you start to discover your past little by little as you see text messages that tell the story as you progress.
The game is not pretentious with it's warning, the game may be hard to swallow for some, but it's totally worth it.

Brilliant game, but has some graphics and audio flaws that can make the game look wanky at times (nothing really bad, but maybe can ruin the 100% immersion) and the price may be high for a game this short (4-6 hours), but if you think you can afford it, totally go for it.
8.5/10 aside from the need of a little polish in some visual and audio parts, and maybe a high price for a short game, the game is a beautiful piece of art.
