Starship Troopers: Extermination brings the intense and relentless bug-slaughtering action of the iconic Starship Troopers franchise to the gaming world. Developed by Offworld Industries, this first-person shooter delivers a satisfying yet flawed experience that will please fans of the movies but may leave others wanting more.

The game drops players into the boots of an elite trooper, tasked with eradicating hordes of giant, deadly bugs on various interstellar battlegrounds. The atmosphere is suitably tense and captures the essence of the movies, with dimly lit corridors, alien landscapes, and the constant threat of an ambush. The visuals, while not groundbreaking, effectively create a sense of immersion in this bug-infested universe.

The gameplay primarily revolves around fast-paced, frenetic firefights and base defense against wave after wave of arachnids and other insectoid monstrosities. The variety of weapons and class upgrades at your disposal keeps the combat engaging, from rapid-fire assault rifles to explosive rocket launchers. There's a real sense of power as you mow down waves of bugs with satisfyingly crunchy sound effects.

However, Starship Troopers: Extermination suffers from some significant flaws that hinder the overall experience. The AI of the bugs themselves is disappointingly simplistic, often leading to repetitive and predictable encounters. Additionally, the level design, while initially exciting, can feel linear and lacking in depth, leaving little room for exploration or strategic choices.

Overall, it delivers an action-packed bug-slaying adventure that captures the spirit of the franchise. While it falls short in terms of AI sophistication and level design, the intense combat and cooperative multiplayer mode make it a worthwhile choice for fans of the series.

Strap on your armor, grab your assault rifle, and prepare to do your part for the Federation!

So basically I have spent maybe 50 minutes in game, the rest of my playtime is spent trying to join the game. Constant crashes to the main menu, Disconnect from Game Servers randomly and seemingly without purpose. However, don't worry the in game purchases never crash and are always available :D

I literally haven't even heard of this game til about two weeks ago, apparently it's been in early access for about 2 years, anyway the game is great with it's PVE aspects on lock through four very different classes allowing you to approach missions differently and not to mention the fact that the caves are procedurally random making every mission interesting and new. 10/10 Karl would be proud.

It started with hope, it got worse then worse, but I trudge on. Corruption would be dealt with I would win, and I did or so I thought. Then I reached the end. Evil Never Dies.

Just finished it right at this moment and I gotta say Hell of a better ending then the last game. (That was a buzzkill) I am glad to be contuing Jack's story and hope that we get a third installment. If you liked the first one and are a fan of X-Com style assults, then this is the game for you. Other than that the balancing does seeming put off immersive and can lead to you firing people out frustatration, but hey in the end you can make it.
