I'm not sure what all the whinging is about. I've played F123 and F122, but I don't understand the hate for F124. Yes, it's similar to the others, but so are the others. "I don't like how they changed stuff" vs "I don't like how it's the same". Damned if you do .....

I was a bit hesitant after seeing some of the reviews, but went ahead and bought it anyway. $120 AU for this??!! Won't even launch. Googled the problem ... nothing. Absolute rubbish!

Controller loses focus randomly. Waaaaay too long to load between events and random freezing. Absolute rubbish

Almost 90% of the negative reviews are because of re-entering the game after a few months and losing their characters, which apparently can be simply fixed with file migration. Even if this is still a problem, how many survival games have you played where the whole map gets wiped in updates? H1Z1 comes to mind. Yeah, it's got a few bugs, but overall, it's a great game

More bugs than a NYC apartment (many game-breaking). Co op is all but broken in most scenarios. Lost count of how many times we had to restart due to inability to progress - glitched doors/containers etc., players glitching in and out, and don't get me started on the atrocious voice acting. I could put up with that if they were short cut scenes, but they just drone on and on, and then there are "choices" at the end of the dialogue that are completely pointless. Love the graphics, love the story, but this doesn't help the lack of immersion this instalment has to offer. As an example, we worked for days for the crossbow achievement, only to discover that the host is the only one to get it. If you're thinking of buying it for co op, maybe wait a while to see if these anomalies are addressed.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I played this for about 20 minutes and died of boredom ...

Spent 1/4 of my weekend and used up 1/4 of my planet just setting everything up for green cubes ... and I'd do it all again in a heartbeat. Awesome game! ... 9/10

OK. I've noticed a good deal of negative reviews about this game and I must say I sort of understand the reasoning behind them. Most of them point to the lack of a real tutorial to start you off. I agree. The tutorials really don't give you enough information so you can get your teeth into it from the beginning. So, what I did for the first few days, was watch a few video clips on the campaign side of it and checked out a few forums and pages from people who've had problems from the outset. If I didn't quite grasp the concept first up, I watched videos again, and again and ... yep ... again. A bit tedious for some, but I was determined to like this game, as I believed it had all the components of the type of game I love. Now, slowly but surely, I'm beginning to understand the mechanics and I'm really enjoying it.
Apart from a couple of bugs (like being able to deliver goods to a bus stop lol) it's truly got my attention and I envisage many hours of playtime in the future.

For $7.50, this is a great little game. Highly recommended. Maybe don't play it at night though ... or alone ...
