Fun but stressful.

Makes me want to hug the next person I see that controls passports and tell them I understand their suffering.

I played on the difficulty above Normal.
- Liked the card gameplay, even if it confused me a bit at first. Felt easier to learn the nuances than something like Slay the Spire.
- The folklore confused me the most because of all the weird things people had to do to avoid evil spirits etc and many of the words and concepts were very foreign to me. It gave a feeling of "playing in old times" though, which was the point to immerse yourself.
- The art was alright but I disliked the 3D version of the characters. Looked like something from a mid 90s 3D game. The world looked alright in comparison, since it just seemed like a stylistic choice.
- The voice acting ranged from good to pretty bad. Words in English were often mispronounced but I could excuse that as "the Russian way of saying them". Thankfully the main voice actors did fine (like Vaselisa and the main narrator).

Over all: I grew to enjoy it a lot.

I enjoy the game to a degree. Like with Vampire Survivors I need a task/goal to complete the levels in a certain way, to want to play the game. So more of those please!

Well it's free, so why not if you like a bit of ARPG (MMO)

I knew I wasn't going to be a superfan of this game, going into it, but the experience was alright. The quests are very short but so generic that they became a grind pretty fast and the story is kind of ani-meh and I didn't really care for any of the characters so I ended up just skipping through the quest text around level 30, because I felt like giving the story a chance until then. The combat and fighting bosses in dungeons in particular, is the fun part.

I wish the game systems were more streamlined, because it feels like there's a bajillion currencies and systems in the game, but if you try to focus on the main ones and hope to understand the rest later on (like I am atm) it should be alright.

Personally I felt that the quality of the game went up as I got access to my first ship around level 40 and got to go to new and more interesting islands.

Edit after reaching max level: The game is pretty good at max level, although I doubt that there's much more in it for me. So: Leveling is fairly boring but max level = good.

A good bit of mindless fun for 2€

Edit 43 hours in: Still good bit of fun, with some nice small challenges to conquer to keep things fresh.

It's the gun (sniper rifle) play and figuring out how to get through the groups of enemies that's the fun part. The second weapon, the assault rifle, is pretty nice as well, when you alert half the world and have to defend yourself. The silenced pistol is severely lacking. Either it's incredibly weak or powerful enough, but so loud that it could wake the dead, depending on your pick.

The story is pretty generic, with some moments of "wait... that doesn't make sense" but it gives you an excuse to headshot scores of enemies.

The bullet cam isn't as satisfying as the one in Sniper Elite, but it's pretty alright.

I wish there were more interactable things in the game, like doors that could be unlocked with a shot to the lock/padlock and rooms that could be entered. The climbing mechanic also feels stiff, where you can only grab on to a few ledges, that are hard to spot, unless you use the radar of the mask you wear.

I didn't encounter more than a few minor bugs, so for what the game is, it's pretty polished.

I'd recommend buying it on sale.

TL:DR: Good game but janky at times, so slap that F5 key often.

I think it's a good game, but dear god does it often feel unpolished and every now and then bugs hit you hard. It's an impressively detailed game, so I can excuse much of it though.

2 times the game crashed to desktop during my 90 hours playtime and a handful of times I had to reload the game because I either got physically stuck on things or the game would do something weird that would completely halt progress - like an escort npc that would exit an elevator before me, go through the closed doors and would then angrily text me that he didn't want to wait so long for me to do the mission with him, even though I was right behind him physically. And that would stop the mission = reload.

When I first started playing, it was rough and I almost quit 30 mins into the game, because it felt like being thrown into the deep end of a pre-established world that I knew nothing about, filled with weird lingo, and mechanics that made little sense to me, but I powered through the confusion and started to appreciate things after I figured most of it out.
It took me a little while to figure out the leveling system for instance and how mods worked and what they could and could not be used on.

I could yap on but will just repeat the TL:DR, that it's a good game, with good characters that feel real, that is often more or less janky, that will create unintentional extra obstacles for you, but most of the time you should be able to handle it.

Definitely a fun and creative game, with a lot more going on than you think at first glance.

I suck at deckbuilding, but thankfully the game was very helpful with that.

It was sometimes a buggy mess, especially with the AI of friendly units that'd do stupid things, like running right in front of my shots or run through the same very limited voice lines, only interrupted by frequent short freak outs of "enemies nearby", to then proceed to start limited voice line over again. The wonky AI made for some entertainment though, like when newly freed hostages would take my vehicle and drive off.

I didn't care for the "forced abductions", that would happen even if I sat in a helicopter, 500m above ground. Over all it was a fun enough experience though, where the over the top action was better than the buggy/at times poorly designed mess.

It takes a lot for a story to grip me like this one did, at least after I played a few hours. It really makes you think.

The gameplay is pretty alright, although I wish the melee combat was better. The ranged combat is satisfying, because you get to see you visually chipping away at your opponents.
