A very solid sequel to Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice.

Top notch ambiance, voices, music, graphics.
Compared to the first game combat is much more cinematic but still quite satisfying and there's not too much of it because it's obviously not the actual focus of the game.

However, while the story is good I felt like Senua's motivations are weak. She doesn't have the desperation and sense of loss that drove her forward in the first game, instead she's trying to fix everyone's problems like a generic heroine. The story Druth tells through the runes somehow didn't connect with me as much as it did in the first game (though I did miss a couple of them and I need to play through again to find them eventually). Pacing felt a little weird at times: The first "boss" felt like it would be the end and continuing from there seemed forced at first; the last two areas felt very rushed..

Overall a great game, but falls a little short of the first title - which, to be fair, is completely understandable, it's very difficult to match when the first game is already a masterpiece.

This is one of those times I wish steam had a neutral review I guess. The game is very nice but it has some major issues that make me, as a guitarist/musician/rhythm gamer, not enjoy it as much as I wish I could.

Readability suffers from lots of pointless stuff on the screen distracting from what's going on, nothing indicating the actual point in time for the triggers in a measure (is it on beat or off beat, etc; metronomicon does this very well) before it actually hits the line where you're supposed to hit the key. This in turn makes it more a reaction game rather than moving along with the rhythm, especially since a lot of the song maps seem to follow vocal lines a lot of the time which can be very difficult to anticipate if you're not familiar with the songs already.

Tutorial is not very good at explaining everything clearly immediately but once I got over that the game was pretty cool looking and timing seems very tight which is nice.

But who cares, it's free, if you like rhythm games you should absolutely try it.

Still the best Deus Ex game, and way up there for the best game of all time - at least in my opinion. It's the game I keep coming back to every couple of years, having finished it around 20+ times (at the time of writing). And there's even been quite a lot of work done by the community to keep the game running on current computers and even retexturing the whole thing to look absolutely beautiful in 1440p (I mean, some textures actually contain readable text!).

Nice music and some pretty straight forward puzzling of sorts. It might be a bit on the short side though.

Totally worth the 500$ and 10 year wait... I just wish there was more

Excellent fun, alone or with friends. Beware though that friends will make this a lot harder ;)
