Died 85 times to a mattress and achieved my dream of becoming a fighter jet for about 20 seconds. 10/10 would launch out of bounds and die again.

Interesting story and neat cooperative gameplay mechanics

Despite being quite pricey considering the sequel is releasing soon, you'll still get some good value out of the game and DLCs (on sale) since the currently most popular gamemode of TWW2, Mortal Empires (a combined playable map of both current Total War: Warhammer games and all their factions), is likely going to be the one that keeps you playing for hundreds of hours, unless they were to pull off an amazing main campaign mode and you remain content with solely the playable factions available in it. This will, however, require you to own the DLCs unlocking the corresponding factions as well as the previous two games, so it really comes down to how much you are able and willing to spend, and what you are looking to get out of the game.

As a returning player the new update is pretty good

Co-op vs AI simulator. At least it's free starting January 12th.

This is headed in a better direction than PoE. Cool classes and interesting systems, just lacking a bit of content for now. Can't wait for multiplayer to come out.

Edit: Still a great game. Launch issues are mostly fixed just 3 days in. Same microtransaction system as PoE which is a big plus. So far they've delivered on what they've promised. Promising future and a good addition to the genre for any arpg enjoyers!

Easily one of the best roguelikes in terms of gameplay mechanics and visuals, and undoubtedly the best story-wise.
