Space Engineers 2 is here in Early access with an openly communicated roadmap. This will be a fun development journey, and I have to give props to KeenSWH in regards to being open on the development of the game. For that reason, I will recommend supporting them on this journey. If you are here to experience a game being built from the ground up on a solid foundation, buy Space Engineers 2.

With that said, as of VS1 (or Vertical Slice 1), my biggest issue is the current non-remappable keybindings & controls. I would say for those of us used to Space Engineers 1 controls, they should have a presets list. Default, which are the current controls, and maybe one called "Legacy" or "Veteran", which are the original Space Engineers controls.

I will update the review with each update, and also as I continue playing the game in it's current state (which is very doable if you enjoy building things)..
