to play this game, you need to install EA's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ offbrand chinese spyware ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. If you make the mistake of installing this game because of course steam doesn't tell you what it downloads, be prepared to see kernel rooted ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in your directory. The only cure is to take your drive and smash it to bits.

2026 Update: The game now runs properly on ubisoft connect, however it now requires you to be always online now... and no DLC even for the gold edition... personal recommendation: sail the seas mateys!

2023 original review: can't even play the game because of ubisoft's awful uplay launcher, should be illegal to sell a game that you cant even play. get an old 360 and just buy the game on disc, ubisoft somehow continuously impresses me with how incompetent they are despite having made games for the past 20 years.
