Every battle is unique and challenging. The story is interesting and the environments are engaging as well.

A fun management and strategy game, Stacklands challenges you to efficiently manage your villagers' time, something that's a lot harder than it sounds on paper.

Inscryption is a card game with unique mechanics, and an unparalleled visual style and theme.

Others will say the game's later acts lack in comparison to the first. I say the first act lasts just as long as it needs to, and the later acts are a welcome change of pace.

Early Access Review
Should be titled "7 Days to Wait"

If you play this, you'll be waiting a lot. Waiting for stamina to recharge, waiting for things to craft, or smelt, or loot, or break. Traveling sucks and faster options take forever to obtain.

The "grind" in this game was entertaining at first, but you'll quickly become sick of it. Zombie combat is slow and unsatisfying, base building is also slow and unsatisfying. And the horde mechanic, which relies both on combat and on base building, sucks doubly so.

Want a zombie game? Go play L4D2. Want a survival game? Well, there's plenty of those around. Just don't play this one.

Hard at first, but fun once you get the hang of it.

Don't fool yourself into thinking this is another procedurally generated survival game. The map is hand crafted, and the game's true genres are "exploration" and "horror".

If that sounds good to you, and you fancy trying out a unique game set primarily in an ocean environment, then try out Subnautica.

It's worth noting that the "horror" element is a very different experience from the traditional horror game.

Gameplay wise, Below Zero is stronger in some areas over the original, however, the story is all over the place.

The main quest (discovering what happened to your sister) quickly gets relegated to back seat, leading to an unimportant, and unimpactful end and becomes so forgettable, I initially reached the credits without doing it despite being one step away from completion.

The true main quest leads the player to find the three MacGuffins, reach the last area, roll credits.

This complete and utter separation of the two quests leaves you with a very bare-bones feeling progression, contrasting heavily with the original where every objective fed into each other and ultimately led you closer to the end goal of escaping the planet.

There's a lot more spoken dialogue in this game, and all of it is worse. Especially bad were several conversations between the MC and another character with very unnatural and suddenly "philosophical" dialogue.

The new PDA lines are also a bore. Every comment felt like it had some crucial personality missing, and I believe it made one (1) joke during my entire play through which absolutely did not land.

In summary, the gameplay is good, the progression feels bad, and the story SUCKS.
But if you liked the original, you'll like the gameplay here too.
