I've heard that some people are worried that this game might be too hard for them, so here's some things to consider so you can figure out if this game is for you:

• This game requires a fair amount of trial and error unless you're willing to do a little research. Figuring out how to interact with certain curios, how much food to bring and such things. If you feel like this is something that would take away from the experience for your, you can use the Darkest Companion. It's a free in-browser app for helping you figure out what to take on an expedition
  
  
• This game has a lot of RNG, and you will have XCOM style "90% chance to hit and it's a miss" moments. However, as long as you're no playing on the hardest difficulty you can take as long as you like to complete the campaign.
  
  
• To avoid having to grind when you lost a hero, upgrade you the Carriage ASAP. This will unlock recruitment of higher level heroes wich will help you get back on your feet after a crushing defeat.

It's not for everyone but I strongly believe Darkest Dungeon is one of the best games in the turn-based tactical genre, and it's difficulty makes it greatly rewarding.
