If you've been playing League of Legends please take a break and help revive this game. It doesn't deserve to die!! Very fun and they are still going to push out a season 3 in a month or so. If the game doesn't do well this season i'm sure it will die but hey... it's really fun. One last ride...

The timeline system that Star Renegades uses for it's combat make this game very addicting. Not to mention there are a bunch of roguelite elements sprinkled throughout this game to boost that addicting factor. When it comes to difficulty I haven't yet tried the harder difficulties as I've only won a single playthrough (as of the 10 hour mark). Though, from my experience the difficulty of this game mainly lies in how diligent you are. If you're good at exploiting weakness' the game will reward you pretty well (by means of taking little damage). Though, if you make one mistake or don't double check the enemies' action there's always a possibility that you just f****ed your run.

Have fun :D

Never played Seiken Densetsu 3 before this remake was released but still really enjoyed the game. The plot for this game depends on the character you choose which adds to other factors that make the replayability of this game good. For instance, there's 3 different endings and there are some cutscenes you will only see with certain pairs of characters. The writing in this game can be bad and apparently the English voice acting is bad weebs only play JRPGs with Japanese voice acting so no sweat off my back but I do not doubt the writing was OK or maybe even good when it originally released in 1995.

Truth be told the writing did not keep me playing this game but instead was the combat and the classic RPG feel to this game. Don't get me wrong it's not horrible writing but there are points where you can see it has aged. Being the chosen one seems like an over used idea (because it is) but you have to remember this game was also made quite some time ago. Though, what Trials of Mana sets out to do is create a faithful yet enhanced version of Seiken Densetsu 3 and I think it did a wonderful job coming from someone who never played the original. There are dorky moments in this JRPG from the plot pacing or the writing but nonetheless it did not fail at immersing me in it's world.

If you haven't played any classic RPGs or you've never played an ARPG I would recommend getting this game on sale. $50 may not seem worth it to some people who have only played the newest, most modern AAA titles on the market and nothing else. I say this because Seiken Densetsu 3 is a linear and quite frankly simple game. Though, the modern real-time combat they added to this remake makes it feel pretty good for a game that was created in 1995.

TLDR: If you like classic RPGs pick this one up - it's a great remake. If you're new to this genre of game I'd recommend thinking about buying it on sale after reading this review and some others.

I recently have gotten this game from the May 2020 humble choice package and so far I've had a great time and can see this title being worth its full retail price. I've played Cities Skylines and other management games and they were always fun for the first couple of hours but I would find myself bored with creating something that already exists IRL. Jurassic World Evolution stirred up my dino-curiosity that had not been awoken since I was 5. Managing a Jurassic Park is an idea that quite frankly never crossed my mind but this game definitely found one of the most fun scenarios to manage.

My only gripe with the game is that I can't just go into sandbox mode and f**ck with all the possible dinosaur genome combinations or just see all that the game has to offer. In hindsight - I'm glad they chose this design decision of making the player progress through the campaign in order to unlock further content. The campaign has been great and you do unlock the sandbox island very early on in the campaign. This design choice has allowed me to build up my dream park on the sandbox island until I run out of 'new' content and then switch back to the campaign islands to unlock more. This may seem like 'stretching out game play' to some people but the scenarios for each campaign island and actually building up the island is genuinely a fun time.

Definitely recommended if you need a game to fix that creativity itch. Or who knows, maybe you like the Jurassic Park movies? Really polished feel to this game alongside the fact that it's pretty easy to pick up - even if you're new to the management game genre.

TLDR: Progression is a little bit slow so you can't just jump into sandbox mode but the uniqueness of this management game makes time fly.

GreedFall has an interesting world that is presented to you but within the game itself holds nothing in comparison to other titles within the ARPG genre (Mass Effect, Elder Scrolls, Fallout, etc.). GreedFall could be a good game but it's combat fell flat after about 10 hours. Though, I haven't experimented with all skill trees and abilities but there's a good reason for that; the dialogue varied in quality. There's a possibility that the play style that went with the skill tree I chose (magic) was bad/boring and the other skill trees could have been good but nevertheless the quests began to feel very fetch-y. A mix of average game play and storytelling made this title feel like a bit of a grind halfway through. GreedFall is a well designed game but feels like it offers nothing new worth noting for fans of the genre so I would not recommend it to someone who has played games similar to this one within the ARPG genre.
