Buy on a huge sale, because this is a roguelike with no replayability, if that makes any sense. The map is always the same, the cities are always the same and they are at the same place, the events are always the same, the goals are always the same, the monsters are always the same, basically you die and play the same game over and over and over. It gets boring very quickly, the gameplay will last only a few hours, what is unusual for a roguelike game. So buy it on sale.

I had a great time playing this game for several hours, and it was genuinely enjoyable. However, I find myself unable to recommend it due to its mechanics. Overall, the game is good, with a captivating 10/10 medieval ambiance, the story is interesting, but unfortunately, the combat mechanics are extremely frustrating, leading me to stop playing altogether in the end. The bow mechanics are particularly disappointing, as they lack a crosshair, forcing me to resort to cheat codes to add one myself. The lockpicking mini-game mechanics are shockingly terrible, to the point where I had to install a mod to remove it completely from the game right from the start, which ultimately ruined the lockpicking experience for me. I tried using several mods to address other mechanics and attempt to balance them out. Yet, no matter how many cheat codes I used or mods I installed, it was impossible to fix what is inherently broken by design. The developers tried to make the game difficult by introducing some bad mechanics, but they ended up making it clunky and impossible to play. It's such a shame because, apart from these awful mechanics, the game excels in every other way and is actually really good. But honestly, I can't recommend this messy and frustrating experience.

DoS 2 is among the best games I've played in my entire life.

People who paid money could play the game earlier, but the servers in which they created their characters are now blocked for new players because of queue time. As a consequence, some of my friends are stuck in servers that other friends cannot create characters in! There is no option to change servers neither. How are we supposed to play together? Worse than that, the benefits that were earned by spending money are stuck in the servers who are blocked for new players, so it was all wasted. This situation totally ruined the game for us.
