i have had this game for four days and played 16 hours, i think i qualify for a review.

i can confidently say that no, im not a human is one of the best games i have ever played, from its story, to its characters, to even its gameplay and art.

the story of this game is a great one, but to get the full story you need to keep replaying it in different ways. for those unfamiliar, it is about the apocalypse in which "visitors" try to get in your house. there is a lot of subplots going on at once, and it is truly gratifying to uncover more and more each time.

at its core, no im not a human is a repetitive game, but not in a bad way. it is somehow fresh every day and play through even if you have read every line of dialogue or done everything possible in game. even if you have seen playthroughs of the game, it is still worth it to make the decisions yourself and experience it on your own.

its characters can be either terrifying or loveable, or anywhere in between. you feel a sense of admiration for the firefighter, you grow to miss your neighbor, you grow scared of the pale visitor. each one is unique, and it is interesting to learn more about them and even more so to meet them both as a visitor and a human.

its art is beautiful and grotesque at the same time. the redacted corpse of a visitor compared to the interior of the house and the ending credits directly enforce this claim. the soundtrack is amazing, with the credits music being my favorite but the music playing in the menu or when certain characters come on is amazing too.

overall, no, im not a human is a masterpiece and should be played by everyone should they have the resources. i would gladly pay double the price for this game, and i know i will get much more out of it in the future.

absolute peak. 10/10
