Easily a 9/10 game. Most likely my game of the year this year. Only flaw I'd say is that the story wasn't as gripping as I had hoped. I felt like The Last of Us 1, and A Plague Tale series were a little better about pulling me in with the story, and making me care about my NPC companion. But this is still a really great engaging story nonetheless.

This was my first VTM game and introduction to the setting. It has it's moments but the performance is simply abysmal even after performance updates. I played on high settings and need to use DLSS (balanced) to get some decent frames (90 to 100-ish). But there's still big stutters where you drop below 20fps, and at certain sections of the map you drop to 40fps. You can also expect to crash during loading sections like, going through the hotel doors, or getting out of a conversation with NPC's for instance. Where your frames can drop to literally sub 10fps, or even freeze up to 0fps.

Character customization is barely there, you have some options for clothes, eyes, makeup/facepaint, and about 5-6 actual hairstyles in a few basic preset colors of which 1 or 2 of are actually decent looking. But that's literally all there is.

Abilities are also very lackluster for an RPG based on a TTRPG setting. You can only have 4 abilities active at a time, and each ability slot has only 6 set choices. For instance, you can't have Blink and the Charge ability together because they both occupy the same ability slot. You have 1 base passive from the clan you pick, and you have 6 passives that any clan can get through playing the game.

As for the story, it's alright. But again.. for something based on a TTRPG setting, there's so much more potential for a more modern vampire setting like this. There's different endings, and I tried going for a different ending after my first playthrough. But it's just too boring to go through for a second time. (For the record, I have done 7 playthroughs of Cyberpunk 2077, and that never got boring like this does)

The city design itself is pretty cool, I'll have to say. There's some good verticality and some very nice ambient scenes and lighting. But the rooftops are mostly the same, with some random goon spawns. There's parked cars but no one drives.

Then the enemy variety.. There's some different enemies you'll encounter, but that's really it.

All in all, I'd rate this game like a 6/10. And I'd say it's only worth getting it when it's priced €30 or less.

A solid 8/10 game.
Had hoped for the story to get better later on as you discover what happened. But the first story arc was already where it peaked for me.

It's like a 5.5/10 game, the environments and music do most of the heavy lifting for this game. I did get it on sale for 30 euros, which I thought would be worth it to try it for myself.
It starts pretty decent, stuff is happening, you're getting your bearings. But then it slowly but surely falls into an abyss of:
- Go get this
- Go to this spot
- Steal something from here
- I can do it, but you gotta do this other thing for me first
It gets stale and boring, and you just start to leave the endless side quests be to continue the story. Which puts you back in the same loop again over and over. It makes you question why you even bother, and wonder if the payout's gonna be any good. But after almost 40 hours in, I don't think the game will give me any kind of satisfying ending.
I didn't finish the game, but I just don't feel like playing this chore simulator anymore.

Just about done everything there is to do, had fun playing with all sorts of weapons, and will be waiting till next content update. Optimization however is poorly done, but it runs decently for me at least.

Great game, and it looks like the devs and publisher are actually listening this time.

I finished this game on normal difficulty and it's a good and fun game to play. It's a solid 7/10.

There are however quite a bit of UI issues that I've experienced:
* No tooltips for a lot of stuff, a lot of things you just kinda have to figure out.
* It's hard to see if you'll hit your allies or not if the target is far away, you can't move the camera other than rotating.
* When in a mission, the tooltips that are there are in the way of seeing how much AP you spend on movement.
* And you can't compare equipped clothing with the clothes in the faction store, even though the clothes have stats as well.

Other than that I've encountered 1 consistent bug.
Officer enemies seem to bug out 8/10 times resulting in really long turns with them doing nothing.
One time I had an officer in a downed state and he was the last enemy left, but his turn bugged out or something and I had to reload to an earlier save. Now is reloading to an earlier save not much of a problem, as the game auto-saves at the start of every turn, but the officers are a bit of an issue right now.

5/10
Got a revolver early from the freestar rangers and after 100 hours still hadn't replaced it. Got bored going through the main story missions so I did some side ones (factions, etc.) to switch things up, after getting bored with those I tried the main story again but then I just quit playing altogether. That was a month ago and haven't felt like picking it up since.

The only redeeming thing from this game is the ship building, but even that gets frustrating when ladder and door placements are totally RNG. You'll have to use modules like corridors and ones that do nothing, to brute force the game into placing ladders and doors where you kinda want them to be.

As always it's a Bethesda quality game, meaning, you'll need mods to fix the game that's barely there. Maybe in 5 years it'll be fun to play when modders have been going ham on this game, but it might be abandoned by then.

It's just chores and it's very repetitive. The documentary interview-style cinematics are also not very interesting to watch and make you want to skip through instead, because they keep ranting about your fictional main character.

You also can't take a car and put it in your garage anymore as in the previous games, no now you have a predetermined selection of cars that you have to unlock in specific ways. But not all the cars in the game are in there and some found on the street are better and nicer looking than what you get yourself, but you can't save it nor customize it, as that's simply not allowed.

Also tutorial pop-ups keep repeating themselves as well, had one time where I was lining up a shot on someone trying to call the cops on me but got a pop-up and I missed the shot because of it. Then I had to flee the cops as I couldn't go into the area where I needed to be for my mission.

And if you have multiple monitors be prepared to get thrown out of the game sometimes as it doesn't keep your mouse within the game window, even on fullscreen mode.
