Electrician Simulator può sembrare interessante a prima vista per chi ama i simulatori, ma chi cerca realismo rimarrà inevitabilmente deluso. Il gioco semplifica tutto fino a diventare completamente fittizio, non esistono fase, neutro o PE, c’è solo “entrata” e “uscita”. Ad esempio, per collegare una lampadina non è nemmeno necessario chiudere il circuito, puoi lasciare il terminale di uscita scollegato e il gioco considererà comunque tutto corretto. Se si collega correttamente come nella vita reale, invece, il gioco lo segnala come sbagliato. In molte case presenti nel gioco è presente la trifase senza neutro (scopo industriale) senza alcun trasformatore, con uscite direttamente a 400 volt dalla scatola dei differenziali, mentre di solito per gli impianti domestici si usano 230 volt. Inoltre, nel gioco la scatola dei differenziali viene erroneamente definita "scatola dei fusibili", cosa chiaramente sbagliata.

Questo rende l’esperienza completamente distante dalla realtà degli impianti elettrici civili. Chi ha già esperienza come elettricista non troverà alcun valore educativo o pratico, anzi il funzionamento del gioco rischia di confondere chi sa già fare il lavoro nella vita reale. Può offrire qualche momento di divertimento a chi vuole giocare a fare l’elettricista senza aspettative, ma chi cerca una simulazione fedele o una preparazione reale agli impianti resterà inevitabilmente deluso. In sintesi, toglierei il “Simulator” dal nome del gioco perché non ha nulla a che fare con la realtà del mestiere ed è adatto solo a chi vuole un passatempo leggero.
