Trucking the West USA. Pretty forests, sprawling deserts, and cool skylines complement a relaxing (sometimes not with traffic) experience. Good game overall.

Trucking through Europe and seeing the amazing landscapes. Great fun especially in convoy multiplayer.

I'm recommending this because at it's core it's fun and is a good game.

HOWEVER

This game is trying to be WWF No Mercy a little too much where the game feels like it has the same limitations that No Mercy had. The difference is that you could forgive those limitations for No Mercy because No Mercy came out in 1998.

Entrances are in short clips like No Mercy. This is terrible design choice in my opinion. It destroys the atmosphere of a good entrance which in turn kills some of the buildup to the match. In No Mercy, one could forgive this because full entrances weren't really a thing in wrestling games at the time. Now they are.

That same vibe is consistent throughout this game. These design choices would be fine... in a bubble. This game suffers from the fact that it didn't take basically anything from what WWE 2K was doing. It feels like 1998 in both the good and the bad. The arcade feel is fine. It needs something to distinguish it from it's competition, but you should still pay attention to what your competition is doing right. Things like community creations, large varieties in match types, extensive rosters, in-depth wrestling with highly varied movesets. This game lacks those and if you have played the WWE 2K games. Those missing features stick out badly.

I am in full support of AEW making more arcadey games than WWE. I really like the variety of weapons in the game and the fact you can play an exploding barbed wire deathmatch. I really like some of the mechanics like riding the skateboard or throwing the propane tank to explode your opponent. I also like that you can control the pyro and camera cuts during entrances. But they should still have full entrances and some preset pyro, they should still have a community creations, they should still have an extensive roster (hell because its arcadey they have even less of an excuse there because they don't need to have as much attention to detail or mocap wrestlers like WWE).

Overall, the game is fun and does have some great features. It just feels like it's lacking a lot when compared to its competition. They will be adding more wrestlers in DLCs and hopefully other new stuff but yeah definitely fell short of some of the hype.

Money pit, the game can be frustrating, but overall the game is solid and fun especially with friends.

Honestly, as big fan of Victoria 2, Paradox made some missteps here. The warfare system definitely needs more player input, watching my general attack a position of 14 enemy units with 6 units and inevitably failing is pretty dumb for example. It is also a bit bothersome that there is no AI capitalist pop that builds things themselves for your economy. Also the multiplayer is quite broken, however for those who can't seem to have their friends join their hosted games, there seems to be an issue with private matches. When I flipped to a public server with a password, they were able to join just fine. With those complaints out of the way, the game itself is pretty solid. The economy is detailed and pretty realistic in terms of supply and demand. I find myself deeply enjoying building up my economy and watching my GDP grow. I also like the colonization system. I find it much more engaging and realistic than Victoria 2's grabbing of blank pieces of the map. The diplomacy in this game is pretty good. The AI needs some tweaking here but the system itself is solid. However, just because I disagree with some choices Paradox made doesn't mean the game should just be dismissed and written off like many reviewers have done. I think this is a really good game, it just needs some tweaking and polish to be a great game.

It's a pretty solid RTS. I'd recommend it. It's basically a combination of Wargame and Steel Division. If you like SD, you'll like this.

A step back in the right direction! While it has some disappointments, it's definitely a solid game unlike 2K20.

Create the island paradise of the world's desire.
Boost your tourism.
Make your island as fun as possible.
Keep the tourists away from the shacks.
Give them the best hotels.
Send in the military to break up a protest.
Demonstrate your commitment to democracy.
Silence the opposition if they disagree.
Ensure the citizens of Tropico love their island and their glorious leader... by force if necessary.

10/10 Would be a democracy again... kind of.

A spectacular close quarters tactical shooter. This game may as well be SWAT 5 because it functions like a game from that series. Game is very well done and intense. Great tactical co-op shooter overall.
