You play as an investigator trying to determine the fates of the 60 passengers and crew of a doomed ship. Using a journal and a pocket watch that allows you to see 3d "snapshots" of the past, you slowly piece together the narrative. The excellent writing, minimalist graphics, outstanding score, and top notch voice acting work together to provide a truly unique experience. Highly recommended.

Eastshade. A really pretty walking simulator in a world filled with interesting characters, light mystery, and simple problem solving. The game goes out of its way to make your stay enjoyable. There is always something to see (and paint), lots of optional quests, and a straightforward progression that opens up the world as the game unfolds. You could probably finish this in less than 10 hours. I took my time and enjoyed my stay.
Make sure that you wait until the very end for a well presented epilogue.

This is a fun exploration game. The movement is excellent. The flying is great fun. The world is well thought out and progression is straightforward. The puzzles are fun and not at all frustrating. The art direction is stunning. The world is really amazing to explore. While not a long game, the length seemed perfect.

Early Access Review
I followed this game for a while. As a big fan of Banished, I was interested to see what they did with the concept. I bought it when it came out and have played a bit. For an early access game, it is very good with some polish and decent depth.
It has very nice visuals. Some people don't like the "cartoony" graphics, but I do. It is a very charming looking game.
It is easy to understand (if you are a fan of the genre). A real tutorial would help. Maybe later in the EA process they devs will add one. It is not too difficult. This is NOT Banished. It is a far more forgiving game. I has very nice music.

I will continue to play and will update my review if things change.

TLDR: Solid town builder with decent depth, great dev support and a lot to do in early Early Access.

Surviving Mars is a terrific building game that combines the survival concept of Banished with a futuristic theme. Add in a tech tree, a variety of starting conditions, and some scifi mysteries. The game is challenging, but veterans of Banished will be right at home. The updates and dlcs have added a lot to the game in terms of depth, with more to come.

Highly recommended.

I keep coming back again and again. Nothing matches the tension that this game brings. Great gunplay. Excellent environment. Consistently fun.

Like the Euro Truck Simulator games, this is a wonderful experience. I do not play driving games typically, but ATS is a relaxing, fun, calming experience. Beautifully rendered scenery. Fun business simulation. So much to see and do.

Highly recommended.

The Flame in the Flood is an enjoyable rogue lite game. The art direction is wonderful. The world is vivid and alive. You play as Scout, a woman who is befriended by a dog wearing a backpack. You start out with a simple raft and few supplies then go out to a flooded world.

You will dock at a variety of locations, forage for goods and materials, fight wild animals, and craft. The crafting system is reasonably deep for this type of game. The progression is sensible and effective. Resources are not terribly scarce, but you must plan or you will find yourself without something necessary and it's game over.

Playing on the normal difficulty, you will have the opportunity to restart at a checkpoint if you die. The checkpoints are not terribly close together, but I never felt like I lost too much by dying.

If you like rogue lite survival games that provide a nice crafting system in a well developed world, give this one a look.

Pros:
Great visuals and music. The soundtrack is amazing.
Solid crafting system.
Fun exploration.
Reasonable level of urgency on normal level.

Cons:
The controls are definitely designed for a controller. I played mouse and keyboard and it took a little getting used to, but was not onerous.

This is simply the most interesting town building game available today. It has incredible depth and breadth, an active modding community, and great replayability. If you like town/city building games, this one is a must.

A beautifully built interactive story game. While the plot is interesting, it primarily serves to provide a vehicle for the story of a man with a sad past trying to escape and piece himself back together. The game is visually stunning. The art direction is brilliant. There are so many times where I just stopped and looked around. The acting is great and the story is well paced.

If you like interactive story games, this one is highly recommended.
