Huge recommend as soon as they fix all the issues the anti-cheat and sony's garbo server are causing. Fantastic game otherwise

Edit: Nearly all the above ^ bugs are fixed now, I haven't crashed in weeks.
More importantly though, with the PSN account debacle having a positive conclusion, I can safely say this developer deserves all the praise they can get. Not without their own flaws, their ability to work with the community is second to none!

Worth every cent

Excellent Presentation, controls smoothly; although the combat does take some getting used to.

Overall pretty dang good, I bought it for the cult management side and I'm not disappointed!
If you don't like the idea of managing a cult animal-crossing style, my 5 cat wives would like a word with you

Joke aside, I'd have to agree with a lot of reviewers; the best VR games are the ones that can be great even if you took out the VR aspect. And MAN does Alyx feel and look great. Got it when I bought my Index

Not much else to say, should be either your first VR experience or later if you want to save the best till for last.

Like Left 4 Dead had objectives, was set in space, was about dwarfs and was called Deep Rock Galactic.

Update: After the most recent update the cheaters have more or less disappeared, Saw one in a game and they mysteriously poofed away after cheating for about 5 seconds. Probably VAC banned? A good thing non-the-less. You'll still run into one Script kiddie 1 in every 50 games but it doesn't really matter anymore thankfully!

Honestly the game is very fun, it's lacking a little variety but it's not super difficult once you get used to the controls and strange physics. More content is on the way so that's good.

Gonna be honest, I only play(ed) the Online mode, I'm sure the single player is great but it's not my primary interest.

Bought the game during the Steam sale, game is great but not full price great; get it on sale.

Graphics: Very pretty, looks great love it
Runs like garbage for your average system if your Rig isn't up to snuff, I run a RTX 2060 and it still barely gets to 35 FPS on max settings, you can drop them but it get muddy and ugly fast. Be ready for an unoptomized game; You've been warned.

Grind: Compared to every MMO I've played and the grind hell that is GTA Online, this is a breath of fresh air. There are two currencies = Cash and Gold. Both can be obtained in fairly healthy amounts in-game. You CAN buy gold with IRL money though, but you don't have to at all. Gold is easily obtainable in-game and when bought with IRL money only speeds up progression instead of being a blocker from even being able to compete with others. A LOT of content automatically either makes you unkillable or instanced so harassment and endless murder during a mission is almost unheard of.

Hackers: Unlike GTA Online, they are rare or at the very least, not as public about what they do. Because of the way the game plays, it's not exactly very fun for them to harass people. Not much of a reaction and that results in a ton of them either not being around or just not harassing people.
I've run into a single hacker over the last 2 weeks i've been playing nonestop + multiple different timezones.


Balance: So far so good, nearly every weapon is great; with a few rifles being borderline overpowered. It's still pretty fair and you don't feel like someone has bought a win against you. You can min-max some stuff so there are still the crazy guys that are harder to take down so try to be ready for them during a match.


Focus: Instead of the power fantasy obsession of GTA Online, you get an incredibly solid western fantasy with all the horse riding and cowboy-Outlaw badassery included. If you don't enjoy long horse rides you won't enjoy this game. Tons of outfits, tons of PvE content to do, a large amount of it instanced as to not get harassed.


Community: Miles better than the other platforms ESPECIALLY when compared to GTA Online. Folks naturally get into their roles and characters, due to the game's focus out of being a murder obsessed psychopath (GTAO) and into being your own character with a grey morality. There are still people that will kill you in the open world but they are a minority instead of the majority. You'll still get the odd ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the PvP modes but they're uncommon and easy to ignore.

Most people you run into just say howdy or try to group up. Had a guy the other day tell me merry christmas, that's the kinda thing I love about this community.
Be a little more trusting and you'll see that most folk are quite fun to interact with and a bit of a tussle didn't hurt no one. Don't take it personally

Kids are rare (Due to the horse riding being boring for most of them) So that's great for us fellow adults


Overall a fantastic experience, I pissed off my significant other with how i've been obsessively playing this!
9/10 needs more horse armor (I'm joking Rockstar please don't actually do this)

Pretty dang good 'port'(?) works and feels great

Theres a lot of people that post their streams, just snipe them, most people are utter trash and it's great.

Surpisingly good game too, combat is responsive and quick, guns are pretty well balanced. Runs REALLY well and looks great doing it.

A solid guarentee to you that this isn't just any old Battle Royal, it's got furries, probably
