tl;dr Great game, everyone should play it.

Better than the original game in almost every way, improving on most of my criticisms for Blind Forest. Yet it also lost a bit of uniqueness with that.

Improvements:
- even prettier with new graphics
- environment looks more vibrant and visually simpler to distinct
- you get decent traversal much earlier and aren't put through artificial suffering
- old save system where you "paid" for checkpoints with energy is gone and replaced with banal set checkpoints around the levels (which is still good, old system was a pain)
- ending is much better
- bosses and combat overall are done very differently and are actually good
- escape sequences still suck, but not as much
- MKB controls are much better (except for stupid sand dash, what the heck were you thinking devs)

Mild criticisms:
- lost opportunity to make serious side-challenges for the new combat - not much use getting good at fighting honestly
- level design quality is much better overall, but seemingly went too far from "too annoying" to "too simple" - again, except for the sand area that feels like it belongs in the first game

60% ammo management sim, 30% bad 3D platformer, 10% first-person demon shooter.

5/7 it's okay, just don't buy for too much

I couldn't care less about farming sims.

This game is the only farming sim I've ever liked.

That must mean something, right?

P.S: Beware, platforming isn't good, and it never really gets better.

Best 3D puzzle platformer metroidvania ever.

I can't even count the many moments where I felt like I cheated the puzzle and it turned out to be intended solution. Absolutely devilish level design, and all done by 1 person!

Your run-of-the-mill platformer, enjoyable but nothing too special.

Pros: generally pretty, main character is very well animated, chill music, interesting save system, powerful and satisfying endgame powers, decent world you will wanna explore in the endgame

Cons: sometimes confusing visuals. sluggish earlygame, not always clear where to go, "interesting" save system can make you stuck for a long time, abrupt ending, horrible (HORRENDOUS!) MKB controls, rage inducing (in a bad way) escape sequences

Stylish, vibrant, funny, topical, unique, challenging.

Camera is piece of caca though, but to be honest I don't know if it's possible to make it better anyway.

Dishonored fan's Outer Wilds is a great game and a real treat.

Even though Dishonored fans (those two that I asked) say it's "mediocre, just play Dishonored lol" and Outer WIlds fan (me) says that there's too much handholding - your character figures out everything instead of you yourself in regards of main plot; and while there are actual good proper mysteries that you get a chance to unravel with your own big brain and pokey nose, they are all very much secondary and, ultimately, quite unrewarding.

Snobbiness aside, the Dishonored part is good, Outer Wilds part is good, characters are genuinely great (especially for a 2020s game lul), and there's even very interesting PVP mode (that I'm afraid to touch until I git good, so never).

The game is not very long, but since release with discounts it's very well worth the price + devs actually fixed most of the issues and sprinkled a bit of additional content (more of those secondary mysteries).

PS. Best gun in the game is just lying around the room of the least respectable Visionary (literally everyone hates them for some reason). Ironic.
