The developer is mismanaged the >$50 MILLION they received. There's no significant updates, I wouldn't recommend the game as the devs are spending their time enjoying their money rather than actually investing 1/50th into the dahm game. For the "updates" they provide they seem to just be laying on their bum and drinking margaritas rather than actually keep focusing on the game.

"After two years of development, I can safely say that this game will never be able to hold a candle to the original Warband. It looks good, sure. But the gameplay feels inferior and the game mechanics feel awful. Daily wages, weird perk system, useless traits, infinite enemy reinforcements and a storymode pulls the game from a subpar sequel, into the territory of a total conversion mod, made by people who don't understand what makes Mount and Blade an engaging experience. The entire game just feels like one quality of life update after the other, but without actually making the game fun or engaging. I'm sad that even after two years, this is all they have to show for it. An unfinished mid-late game. An ineffective mutiplayer anticheat. Massive, ultimately pointless environments. A lifeless storymode. And facial animations to rival Mass Effect: Andromeda.

I'll be patiently awaiting the day where the add the workshop feature, just so I can make this game into a visually better Warbands, which is what it should always have been. Wait for a massive sale, or watch a lot of lets plays before you buy to make sure it is for you."

Found Merlin's review so well, matched exactly what I thought about this game.

Fun mechanics, fun combat, fun everything, but the game will NEVER be what warband was. We dont have any fun in singleplayer, no feasts, no interesting quests/events, no popular mod features integrated into base game from warband, no wedding cerimony or any of the small touches warband had that made the game, all be it looking pixely and crappy, REAL. the game just doesnt feel like it's a story, just a quick game of "play for this kingdom or make your own"

The game doesn't feel finished or fun. Granted yes, I do like certain parts of the game... the combat with big robots and everything, but otherwise I cannot seem to manage to have fun.

After the first 10 hours of playing the game, the game didn't feel fun at all. It felt like a repetative loop of the same thing over and over. Go to place, get hunted down by robot, shoot and kill robot, loot the same weapons, and repeat...

The weapons in this game aren't actually being updated. No new weapons that are FREE. This game isn't finished. It's a tech demo from the developer.

Also, game is much more fun with friends, granted the fun will only last a 5-10 hours.

Verdict: Buy when its on discount (50% of greater).

Actually not that bad. I'm surprised as to how good it looks. Looks like the community puts in much more work when it comes to actually making sure the game LOOKS good.
Optimization issues are present tho and resources spawns could be better tweaked.
Good job on the map itself overall.

Devs made a decent concept, never actually put any more effort into it.
The combat to me was boring as hell, I'd rather just have flew around doing superhero/villian stuff. Instead of that, I was forced to do the story and fight obnoxious enemies when I really never cared about them.

Good f*cking game.
At first sure, it'll be quite annoying, without a doubt.
Once you get accustomed to the game and it's system, it reveals the beautiful mess it is.
