Okay just a heads up.

This is a pretty cool game. It has multiple characters that you can and must switch between that also have management in terms of maintaining their health after damage they take and which type, where also through switching you can go and do different tasks with each one where if a character gets damaged or sustains an injury you can go to the field hospital and until they recover play with an other character which not just is convenient but adds to the suspense and management aspect of the experience.

It has other managerial aspects like ones pertaining to base building and maintenance through gathering ... resources by which you upgrade your settlement and I think gear too. There are outposts that you can reclaim and the game also has some RPG elements relevant to the individual characters like for instance Cardio / Wits / Fighting / Shooting (and specialization in those fields) and a in game radio which you can use actively in game.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3163600872

Gameplay itself is decent like aspects of action that relate to shooting and melee are okay and there are finishers, just as there is a day and night cycle for that extra immersion and scares. Game feels initially a bit clunky and IMHO could use some polish to make the characters feel a bit heavier or just to polish up the gameplay because today we have been spoiled when it comes to some games and how their gameplay plays and feels like, but the responsiveness of movement is good enough. It is obviously a survival game which with management aspects is really cool because I like tinkering like that in my games. Gathering resources, surviving, building a base and expanding it and exploring.

Now as I periodically continue playing I might come back to complement my review like suggestion with other details that I think are somewhat important to mention but I came here to mostly say that the perception of the game for whatever reason to me didn't seem all that great at first since I've known about this game for already a long time but didn't think much of it until now I have tried and I must say that I like it because of the aspects mentioned above.

Of the more action oriented zombie survival or action games that I've played recently this one takes my fancy and I very like the idea behind it and to a great extent the execution (heh, ''execution") of this one which again gameplay wise feels a bit basic or "unpolished" but the ideas behind it are good as is the gameplay in general kind of sufficient to keep you at it for a bit I would reckon.

It's basically like the Sims only for adults played through the 3rd person and set in a post apocalypse like the Wasteland.

"Delve into a world...''

A beautiful series of games about Ancestral Simulation (theory) which plays out thematically like a mix of "Lara Croft'' and "Indiana Jones" set int a relatively huge open world setting with freedom to play the game as you wish, to approach it as you go with many things to do, chase, explore and witness (story wise) and this is the game that started it all.

Really awesome games that together mix and combine historical story elements of the real world, one we live in and blend them together with action survival and suspense or excitement of relatively well crafted adventure games just unprecedented in the scope they portray and the experiences they convey. We could to some extent label these games as "archeological" in nature as well as analytical in some cases relating to the puzzles contained, which is just awesome. If you thought our world was already fully explored, as I now and then get the impression, then delve into these worlds and find out why and how.

If a(n action) game could describe what a real Virtual Experience is about, what it would feel and look like I think these games would very well explain and showcase it.

It is downright one of my favorite types of games and I am very happy that they have made so many games like this one, in essence improving in future iterations on what has been developed initially with each iteration in some way having some sort of improvements in terms of gameplay while at the core retaining the original idea.

Next to the subject matter of these games, which sometimes introduce the player with some "alternate'' theories about our world (like the aforementioned "ancestral simulation theory" or even to some extent "conspiracy" theories) I especially am a huge fan of included archery archetypes included in later games from what I can see starting from Assassin's Creed: Origins although admittedly the gameplay in games before that introduction is also satisfying while I have to once more empathize how much I love the archery aspect included in later games, but knife throwing and in some Assassin's Creed gunpowder weapons are also very nice to play around with because in essence all of these games are games about Assassins and things they do in the worlds they inhabit and their tools of trade.

Very, very glad Ubisoft made these games and that a lot of their other games also often include features that are relative to long games and large open world games. I hope they continue making such games because in essence these games are quite Unique too besides the obvious ways that they at face value contain.

Yeah so this is a wonderful game.

It never caught on with me looking at reviews themselves because for some reason even though I really am into immersive sims and love that genre despite in this category not being really too many games I have to say that this one feels good and I say that, it feels good because also starting the game and dwelling within it for the first dozen of minutes I really was thinking that it kind of looked poor which is somewhat understandable because today we are spoiled with the graphical fidelity many games have, but this initial impression really changed after the first big plot twist of the game commenced and unraveled and from that point on even the game started looking better to me and so together with how the game feels to play I really grew fond of it.

The gameplay is slow and methodical, there is a lot of exploration and going back and forth through the levels which depict a place that is finite in nature and let's say beyond Earth even if the initial impressions would make you assume that. Game plays at points like a cross between a sort of adventure detective game and a FPS with in the background the RPG element making you have to level up or upgrade to progress and further explore the previously inaccessible areas.

I really love some aspects that this game has that fall under the category of immersion which among other things are: sneaking, ledge mantling, leaning that you can do to look around corners, game's realistic level design and the darkness that the game has in some areas be it because the areas are unlit or have shadows in them that give the feeling of the game relatively moody atmosphere and some utility at least in terms of perception and suspense where when you are walking through the game world it feels exciting even if not much is happening for you do not know what is around the next corner, kind of feeling. I think the features the game has I mentioned that are related to immersive sims and game immersion are some aspects that for all I care could and may be included into more games, things like leaning and mantling onto objects to get to a higher ground and also then this aspect that the game tauts where they go like "play it your own way'' which simply means multiple approaches to a situation or a problem which I really love because this gives the games that we play much more depth and longevity at least in terms of how we perceive a level and what we can do in it. Think along the lines of linear games like corridor shooters but then amped up to feature much more in say such corridors than simple tunnels and simply traversing them from point A to point B.

So okay furthermore I like the alien and the horror/survival aspect of the game because also is something that when I looked at the game's review videos on YouTube really didn't appeal to me because I was thinking that the enemies like the morphs were kind of weird and somewhat boring but having now experienced the game itself I can say that it feels good and even moreover I found myself Googling or searching online ("Binging" if you will) if there is going to be another iteration of this game to be released and if one is in development from Arcane Studios which who's games I've played since Arx Fatalis basically and personally really love the Dishonored series (Dishonored 1 is good and great even but I really love 2 and Dishonored: Death of the Outsider) and so I was excitedly looking online if a Dishonored 3 will release and if a Prey 2 will release and there seems some positivity surrounding these wants and expectations but somewhat cautiously hoping for the best because some recent Arcane games didn't get the greatest of receptions like for instance Redfall and I have Deathloop and am yet to try it so I hope at least that latter one is good but okay so.

I really do appreciate Arcane Studios games. I love that they have put in this game some Looking Glass (Studios) references because they were responsible I think for the very first immersive sim games ever on the market. Even this game, Prey is sort of like Bioshock an offshoot of System Shock 2 made by the aforementioned developer studio but that's not really such a bad thing because System Shock (1 and 2) are really great games and I always feel like I could just randomly, at any time jump into those games and just play and enjoy them to a great extent.

Arcane Studios has some great aura surrounding them in terms of what they can potentially do for PC gaming and especially alas to say: niche but non the less dedicated and specific fan base of players who love immersive sims. And then here is looking for more games like Dishonored and Prey from them.

Euh...

Played some more of the game and got to the point that we receive, let's say a gift of cybernetics and just now kind of realizing or realized how mind-blowing this game is... It's also stacked in layers in that sense of revealing more and more as you go which of course is like a gift by itself because it releases surprise kind of notions that are contextually tied into one's perception and even sort of sense of the world, wicked as it might be (power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely) and yeah I got to say... This, these revelations make the game even better I think. It's always a shock encountering things that are sort of revelations in the sense of things that you didn't realize before but then sort of learn to see and sometimes even are able to put into words.. It's... it's like a system shock really.

Arx Fatalis, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, Dishonored, Prey... Are all kinds of games that at their core carry this with and share it with the player. These sorts of stacks and layers in terms of depth and reveal and it is really the reason why games like these one learns, builds affinity with and learns to appreciate and appreciates to love really.

I really got to say that and how like Arcane has made something that was already modular even more so steep but tangible.

Now, as I play this game let us gather around and pray for a sequel.

Wonderful exploratory 3rd person shooter (Co-Op) game with really beautiful alien worlds and engaging (and hard) gameplay.

It's not a looter shooter necessarily at least in terms of a lot varied and huge amounts of loot but what is there matters and it has some elements of looter shooters, RPG, horror survival and action adventure games with epic boss fights just as something like Dark Souls which comes across through the game art design pertaining to characters, builds, worlds and boss fights we get to play, explore and fight in.

Game has character classes, a lot of them and it's possible to multiclass and level them up (once you level up one class you can interchange it with any other class and combination of 2 classes using "engrams" which you have to find components for and craft) which makes the gameplay variety rather huge and together with a story and an adventure mode that you can "reroll" without losing your character build progression there is basically a lot to do in the game as well. I wouldn't mind some weapon customization but what is there weapons wise is sufficient and fun.

Personally I really love basically everything about the game, the worlds, exploration, gameplay, RPG elements (classes and leveling up of builds), game's visual and audio are also really appealing and immersive and beautiful.

If anything game at its core reminds me of Tom Clancy's Division games with basically what is set in again a Dark Souls like world.

This game has surprised me in a very positive way and I am here to share in my enthusiasm for it. Love Love Love <3

So first of all, I like how the game looks.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3084593342

It really looks wonderful but the thing here is that for some reason the game feels very smooth while playing which is a bonus over for instance Far Cry 5... and basically to my recollection all the previous Far Cry games, which I think here is due to the available FSR from AMD which acts like DLSS from Nvidia but the latter isn't included alas.

Game is a little bit clunky though and if I for instance reduce the graphical options and put them on say normal I think the game would run better and maybe even hit the refresh rate of my monitor at all times (which is 144Hz) but the thing is that I like to keep it at high, not ultra because then the frame rates start to drop and are on average lower than what my monitor supports and this during gameplay strains my mouse hand and my brain at the same time like it makes me tired but also isn't enjoyable when a game runs suboptimal to my desired frame rate target and I don't understand this fully because for instance my GPU has a ton of VRAM but even at let's say about 1/4th of it being in use the game still has lower frame rates on high details and so I don't understand how the game would run if it would use like 3/4ths of the VRAM, where I would imagine a game using that much would just have very low fps overall so I don't understand why this is. It could be that games aren't optimized to utilize this modern technology of equal part fast RAM and CPU's with a LOT of cores and equally they don't either utilize the GPU's fully or at least optimally or this hardware that I just mentioned, RAM, CPU & GPU (and SSD's) is just not yet there to really allow for games on high settings and ultra settings to run at say 144Hz/FPS constantly so I don't understand why this is honestly... I understand that games have always pushed the envelope when it comes to computer software and especially hardware but it is weird to have a most modern video card and then in each modern game like Far Cry 6 and WRC 2023 and Forza Motorsport to have all these games run "just" at around 100fps often dipping into the 90's and 80's... which is just weird and I kind of wish that someone either could explain this to me or that I would go and find it online the reasoning for this but each time when I try to google or bing this I can't get to a point of understanding because all my queries end up telling me all kinds of things that seem irrelevant. People say that I should just enjoy it, that which I have and how things are and that is fair enough and I do enjoy things but just wish to understand some things because if we for instance take a game like Cyberpunk, that game basically runs on almost all the options turned to MAXIMUM at a stable 138fps (manually frame limited due to Reflex tech.) and this is throughout whole of the game and in any circumstance, action or not. I've had instances where Cyberpunk would drop frames too in certain areas like the new Phantom Liberty expansion but this is for one due to like a lot of NPC's being in an area which the background of was also very highly detailed and there was combat going on but this drop just goes down to about 120 fps and that game looks gorgeous too and it is especially noteworthy to mention that playing games at a high frame rate I would say of 120 fps+ (ideally at 144fps) really makes a world of difference and the experience is unmatched in both enjoyment and reactions like reaction time, so you can get to play the actual game the way you want to instead of nitpicking at each turn because you can't understand why the lag is a thing, but okay this also could potentially to do with the industry and the way things in the world are in regards to people making money, I don't know. Not knowing certain things like in way of hypothetical category A, not being certain of the reasoning behind makes me on my own sometimes go thinking through to B and C and sometimes D but this is for another time, since I already kind of wasted the (potential) reader's time by talking about my own subjective experiences and thoughts rather than being objective about this game, Far Cry 6 in which sense I can say:

That this game I like. As I've mentioned it looks remarkably good and it runs very smooth too, the gameplay is okay it is engaging due to the story and gunplay and in this sense I think it's just the regular and familiar Far Cry formula so in this regard I can say that I like the FarCry games even though sometimes I think they ought to be more optimized to utilize things like multithreading and this VRAM of GPU's but in all respects I think the game is a success in which way that it engages me to play it and think about it and the world and its NPC's are memorable I think in the way of expression and depiction, sort of proverbially painting the world and its struggles and happenings so.

To me this is what Far Cry games do well. Well enough to be immersive and captivating and have from the past managed to keep me curious about these games contents so when people say that it's familiar and ''same old, same old" I tend to think that at its core the formula that the developers or the company owners employ for these games is good enough for a game and then especially a first person action game. There are better story driven games with more spectacular themes but this is what Far Cry games I think often manage to do well as well in their own right and that is to keep their games and lore sort of grounded in reality in terms of the subject matter and this is why I also like Far Cry 6 because the world and themes within really appeal to me, things of this South American nature are kind of cool, I think.

Wonderful rally game. I think it's an improvement on Dirt Rally 2.0 in every sense imaginable, the tracks are better the handling and the physics are spot on, cars are wonderful to drive and we can even make our own custom championships now with any (WRC) class imaginable which is just amazing.

I have heard that there is now even a custom car builder as well which is kind of cool because of different philosophies involved with rallying like, engine in the middle, rear or the front and car's design as well but I have to check this feature out. It is cool and I would love to have a track builder as well which would make this game the ULTIMATE rally experience I think and it's all right that people don't like it because of some aspects to me it's really oh so wonderful because the car for instance on ice tarmac stages does exactly what I want it to do and behaves as I would expect it to so in this regard it's just a big bag of wonderful.

Thank you for the game, the features where amongst again the possibility to have for instance unlimited restarts and the option to make our own custom championships as well as for including basically so many rally cars including GroupB as well, this is all amazing and the price is a banger.

Performance wise yeah it's a (system) hog but it's now again up to the hardware developers to cook up some hardware that can run this game and other modern ones smooth as a whistle. Unreal Engine might be the best game engine out there and it shows in different ways I think for instance in regards to graphical fidelity like details and how beautiful the tracks look by design and graphically. I am kind of glad that more and more developers are using this engine for to develop their games in, it's pretty good.

At this point in time this is my favorite rally game. Oh as I am writing this review from in game I just realize that the music is so cool as well :D

Great package. I miss rallycross a bit but hopefully it will be a DLC somewhere down the line perhaps. Otherwise, just pure bliss rallying here.

The guttural feeling of a future city, somewhere in a near yet so distant time almost out of reach but so close to the mind.

The primitive yet advanced theme of a world ahead yet so far gone... There are no bounds.

Cyber implants on a whim at the flip of a dime. There walks a dime, passing me by. *Over here slick.

Technology gone array.

The world watches on as the digital embrace envelops from all sides engulfing all innocence. Everyone must die! Everything else shall rise! Cybernetic implants stay intact.

You are a ghost with no form, just a physical vessel that carries you forth,
but on the Net is where you truly roam, on the Net is where you belong.

On the Net you are free and free to explore.

On the Net you are born.

Beware! Danger, be warned!

The story of a man (or a woman) on a mission before he (or she) runs out of sanity and loses his (or her) home that is the dome, it's all in the mentals, you see?

Night City hues. Shiva City blues contrasts collide in a place neigh to your own imaginary finds.

All happens by design.

There is no punch line. There is just a thin line you walk but do not cross for there is no time.

The city that never sleeps only when its beat. It wallows in a slumber like sleep. Perpetuating on, PENETRATING SO DEEP!, as it cuts through you see? It's swallowing all that can not flee. Go on, try to be free.

Get the blade running, slick.

I like this.
(a) Drama about punk and cyber, crime and cars that drive by as NPC's collide in a metropolis of a really big zise.

A few weeks in and I am already in love with this game.

Are you too? Why don't you find out. You can buy it and try it I think, just do racing and don't look too much around in regards to other things, which I hope some of them they will patch out and fix (like the AI awareness but I do like that the opponents have some balls) but honestly?

For me I always loved these games, starting with (Horizon 5, 4 and) Motorsport 7 becasue for one it feels like these games don't need to be modded because of the sheer amount of the cars available, tracks could be also plentyful but ones that are available are really great and this is the crux of my experience:

The driving is fantastic I think but it also helps that the game looks gorgeous in essence and these are the reasons why I literally love it. Like, really the colors and the lighting are phenomenal I find.

What do you think? Did you try it already?

PS.

In regards to the CARPG system, I really do like it. It's something new and it gives a feeling of actual progression other than just: throw money at it and feels good man, I think. Gives a certain connection with the cars you drive, and remember: this is a game after all so in this regard it's not so bad I feel. It doesn't take long to unlock and upgrade and things can or may be "gameized" for immersion and in general I do love RPG systems, regardless of how deep or shallow they are, RPG systems almost universally give a feeling of depth and immersion in terms of experience, game longevity and feeling of having something more to do than just having the most basic gaming experience.

This is a glorious game.

It's per definition more of an experience than a game I feel.

Per definition it is a masterpiece as well.

It's a bit akin to a flight simulator experience where you have to learn all the functions and dials and switches to flip and toggle and readings to make and elements to maintain, but once you take off it's like... WEEEEEEEE.

I really want to get into the game but I am also often preoccupied with other games for instance but let me tell you what I just did above. I just want to recommend it, because it's that good, from what I've experienced.

I hope to finish it one day.
