That's correct. They kept the latest (Denuvo-free) version as a separate branch, accessible via the Betas tab. Now the remaining question is... if they're going to fix the filthy EOS implementation, which broke the games... or ... if they drop it and use Steamworks again. If you ask me, crossplay isn't a must-have for EVERY game out there. Besides, on Steam, people can use the forums to search for potential mp / coop partners and those aforementioned games can be very cheap during sale events.
