Having gotten 100% in this game, I can say that it is a fantastic game with a great cast of characters, fun and enjoyable gameplay, and lots of unique weapons and locations. Well worth the money!

From the 5 rounds I played in this game there is a lot to be desired. While it is really enjoyable, certain weapons feel far too weak and the movement is incredibly stiff. From my experiences with the weapons, the only ones I really consider using are the pistol, shotgun, smg, battle rifle, and shotgun. All of the other weapons either take too long to defeat a player or are too unwieldy. The portal mechanics require you to play tactically which leads to interesting setups with both laying traps in front of enemies and shooting people from angles they do not expect (highly infuriating when on the receiving end). I wish the jetpack were faster since using it feels clunky and gets me killed more often than not.

This game is fun and brings interesting mechanics to the FPS arena shooter genre, but it needs tweaking to really shine.

Early Access Review
Phenomenal gameplay, unique characters to play as, and great difficulty spiking. Only complaints I have are that sometimes you get hit as you're teleporting in, and that the fire level is far too bright at base brightness (both of these will probably get fixed since the game is in early access).

In multiplayer, despite playing with people across the country, and one in a different country entirely, there was next to no lag for the most part. This is a fantastic game both to play by yourself and with friends; I highly recommend purchasing it.

Few tracks, slippery controls, inadequate car customization, poor difficulty balancing. Overall this game is a monotonous chore with next to no enjoyment. Thank goodness for the Humble Store not making players waste money on it this past month.

Great improvements to the combat compared to God Eater Resurrection and God Eater 2: Rage Burst. Character customization is very limited, though there will be more hairstyles and accessories added in later updates.

If you enjoyed any of the previous God Eater games, I highly recommend purchasing this game.

Rockets, jumping, grappling hooks, fast movement, a squirrel in a space suit hunting acorns. These words sum up Kickshot, but they don't even begin to scratch the surface of how fantastic this game is.

While it is very short, only 14 main levels and 3 extra levels which are under development, the game is designed around beating these levels as fast as possible, giving them a lot of replayability. I spent over an hour alone trying to get a great time on the tutorial level (eventually got it in 11.744s), and I still have plenty of others to try and get better times on.

As you play the game and become more used to the mechanics, you see levels in a new light. What once seemed a daunting challenge involving carrying your speed across platforms through bunny-hops and the grapple hook becomes simple as you realize that you can use your rocket thruster multiple times in mid-air to gain a large amount of momentum, and thus complete 2-3 in only two grapples.

Coming from TF2 rocket jumping, I expected that many of the tricks I learned would prove awkward in this game's physics engine, but I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth the player controlled and how the rocket physics acted. Yes, sync jumps are a thing, but the game does not explicitly tell you that.

This game does have some annoyances, namely that if you set your audio settings to 0%, they will default back to 80% (can always set them to 1%, that's what I did), as well as the lack of a recording feature to highlight your runs.

Despite these two things, Kickshot is a fantastic game which favors those who love going fast in their games and going through the terrain with ease thanks to fluid controls and movement. The best part about it, it's free, so what are you waiting for? Download the game today, you won't be disappointed!

I first heard about this game from Project X Zone 2, where both Ciel and Nana were playable characters, and Alisa was a support unit. I'd had this game in the back of my mind for about a year, and then the sale earlier in the month happened. Naturally I picked it up after watching a gameplay video, and I was not disappointed. Allow me to go into some of the things that make this game great, and some not so great.

PROS
  • Great story and character development (Nana and her sandwiches)
  • Fun weapons to use w/ bullet customization
  • Difficulty system with even smaller enemies becoming more durable as the game progresses
  • Game handles very well, almost no lag
  • Smooth and fluid controls (I use a controller)
  • Fantastic soundtrack (I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH)

CONS
  • Game can get highly repetitive
  • Multiplayer trvializes some fights (I took out an endgame boss in under a minute with my friend even while using lower ranked gear)
  • Clothing can get interesting (Especially on female characters)
  • Some weapons feel underpowered (Long blade felt underwhelming compared to Variant Scythe, both in damage and versatility; shotgun is a direct downgrade to blast gun)
  • Post story mode grinding can be an absolute pain
  • Some weapons (sniper rifle) need a specific ability (hidden attack) to get the most use from them
  • Camera can be very clunky at times when using lock on
  • Designed for playing with a controller

Some people will nag about the graphics for this game, as there is some texture tearing, but keep in mind it's an expansion to a PSP game, God Eater 2. I highly suggest people get this game if they're interested; I've definitely gotten my money's worth out of just God Eater 2 Rage Burst alone, and I haven't even touched God Eater Resurrection.

TL;DR this game is amazing, be prepared for an experience

When I first played this on PS3, I instaneously became infatuated with the game. It has such an interesting mechanic behind it that works really well. The soundtrack is very immersive and gets you more into the game. Plot development also keeps you wanting to know more of what is happening and the why behind it. If you want a really good game with lots of action and a parkour mechanic, then this is your game.
