Well, Arkane Austin tried to polish diarrhea.

One can hope they could fix this, but they would most likely have to rebuild the game.
It wants to be a FPS, yet feels like a complete budget title. Horrible AI, the FPS gameplay feels stiff and boring, just completely bland. Combat has zero weight.
Already this title feels dated. It just feels like a vampire version Borderlands 1, and Borderlands still did a better job... over 14 years ago.

Truly disappointing.

I don't understand why people are giving this negative reviews. It was a small add on to the game. Think Resident Evil 4 Mercenaries mode. Probably not as in-depth, but the fun arcade combat to survive horde / waves really isn't that bad.

If you are truly on the fence about it, wait till a sale. If you are an Alan Wake fan, I feel it is worth the purchase. I just came back over a decade later to finish the achievements out.

A simple add on if you couldn't get enough Alan Wake.
Don't expect a huge story add on, this is just a fun size piece of additional content.

It has made me hate the base game, but I see no one likes this one. Maybe they will try reworking it?

I guess don't bother buying this, I might just turn it off and be able to enjoy the base game.
