For me, the biggest issue here is the graphics.
Getting a TON of pop-in when driving around the city. NPCs pop out of nowhere, just a few meters ahead of me, constantly. Same with all types of textures. Its really distracting, and immersion-breaking.
My specs are well over the reccomended, and i've tested all kinds of settings.
Bought this ♥♥♥♥ 2 years ago at full price and it still hasnt been fixed. ♥♥♥♥ that.

The game itself is pretty good. That is while the game lasts (for those 2 incredible hours..). Only complaint is the length, which is pretty common. You might aswell just buy it, play the story in a session or two and refund it. Considering it right now.

Still a great game. Graphics aren't meant to be realistic. Gameplay is by far some of the best out there. You can play your own way.

PS: Pro tips: When you earn the double jump / agility upgrade, don't do it by npc's, cause falling down on them is considered attacking, and everyone agros you.

PPS: F5 for quick save - F9 for jumping back to that

So even though my pc is good (i7 6700 + GTX 970), I was (not surprisingly) one of the people to be hit by the lag ♥♥♥♥. I honestly thought the game was so good that I, instead of being mad, just played through it. The 3rd level is mostly inside so there isn't that much lag, and the 4th one isn't such an open area that the lag gets extreme. In areas inside the game runs around 50-65 fps, which is still not as good as it should, but playable.
When they fix the game (which is hopefully very soon("In a few days [written on friday]")) I'll write a gameplay related review. ;)
If you are considering waiting with buying the game untill they fix it, I say just buy it now. Why not? You'll probably buy it in a day or two (again, hopefully), so you might aswell see how it runs for you, and you can allways refund if you buy it here on steam.

PS: Btw, I bought this on ♥♥♥ for a bit cheaper than here. No reason why not to- other than the fact that you can't refund after you have sucessfully added the game to steam. So consider that ;)

Well, I'm yet to finish it, so can't really say anything about that, then again, the end really isn't what defines the game. It's what is in between the moment you launch, and onwards.

When you open the game and play for the first few hours (that is if it works for you), its amazing. Everything is colourfull and variating. Though that does wear off after a short while. The game mostly consists of grinding / mining. You'll walk around hoping to find that one resource you so desperately need to upgrade your multitool, or your exosuit. And this isn't neceserally a bad thing, if only there was something more to the game. We all knew you had to mine to fuel your ship, and mine, to upgrade your gun, but we were all assuming Sean Murray (Our Almost-Lord-And-Saviour) had a large part of the game hidden, and that part basically was just how you would do what we allready were aware of, and how repetetive that would come to be. That won't change the fact that I will wihtout doubt keep playing until I finish the game, and probably a bit more after that. It is a perfect game to sit back, relax, and watch netflix on your second monitor whilst playing the game whith no sound on. That's atleast what I've been doing when on planets and mining.

(Extra tips for gameplay-related stuff though:) Don't be that fooled by what people are saying about how the game has almost just barron and rock-based planets. Most people haven't realized how important it is to upgrade your hyper-drive. Doing so makes it possible for you to travel to more advanced (colour-coded) star systems, that have more varried, unique, and contain more rare elements on them. Also, They have definetly stated (and hopefully will keep it so) that they will update the game with more content in the future.

Conclusion: I do advise you to buy the game if you are a fan of sci-fi, and roleplaying. Don't expect Call of Duty-like shooting. Epic space battles, or amazing, epic moments with huge dinosaurs. Don't be fooled, they are there, but won't be often. Look at a couple of reviews before you buy it though. IGN did undersell it mainly for the reason that it was over-hyped and didn't contain what it promised. Aside from that it is a fairly good game. And a damn good indie game at that. =)

Will update review as I progress... Probably.

Early Access Review
Gameplay wise, there isn't much negative to say, but since this is a review, I'll point out the few flaws I found.

1. The xp system.
Even though it is clever, allowing you to choose what you want to be able to craft and upgrade in terms of char stats, it isn't perfect. The game basically wants you to farm hours upon hours into the game to reach something as simple as level 10. I wish they could Implement a way of earning xp that would take away the need to binge play the game.

2. The main menu.
They REALLY need to fix this. For an example of how bad the main menu is, here is a story of my first day of the game. I basically joined a server, much like alot of others, and spent around 6 hours there, grinding and taming dinoraurs. I decided to go to bed, and the next morning I had NO IDEA which server I had played on. There is no "recent servers" list, and there is no proper way to favourite them. Don't get me wrong, there is a favourite list there, but unless you are planning on having only one server to ever play on, you might be in trouble. The only tip I can advice is to write down on a notepad file what the server is called.

Conclusion: It has flaws, yet is an amazing game that has the gift of still being on Early Access (Which means that the devs are activly fixing and adding) and it is oftenly on sale. I would honestly reccomend waiting til' next time it is on sale to buy it, though it still is worth the full (cheap) price! :)

Loading for ages. Takes like, 5 min. My pc is very optimal for this game, being a gtx 970 , i7 processor and 16 gb ram. I could easily load before. If anyone has a fix to this, let me know. Thx.

Still though, from what the dlc seems to be, I am exited for this :D
