I was genuinely excited and put a lot of thought into buying this game, especially considering its price, which is quite high compared to other games with a similar theme. I had higher expectations than what I actually got. Here’s what this game completely lacks or gets wrong in the base game (I didn’t buy the DLC):

Time passes too quickly, making you lose the sense of day and night.
The weather system barely impacts you, especially from mid-game onward.
This isn’t a fishing game as the images might suggest; it’s just a QTE (Quick Time Event), where you simply time and press the button correctly.
The game lacks any depth in small upgrade details, making it feel more like a "sea exploration simulator" rather than a game that makes you think deeply and consider choices.
There’s no combat system, so when you encounter monsters, all you can do is run or use a temporary ability to scare them off. This is a major missed opportunity, as it’s an aspect with great potential.
There’s no crew recruitment system; you’re managing the entire ship alone, which also limits the stats and abilities.
No hard-to-reach seas demand upgrades and strategic planning with worthwhile rewards. There are a few puzzle sections, but they feel half-baked and lack polish.
Everything becomes repetitive, and once you understand the mechanics, it becomes uninteresting.
The storyline doesn’t stand out.
The guidance system is a major issue; it wasn’t until the end of the game that I realized, thanks to a YouTube video, where to take the dog.
Overall, I enjoyed the variety of fish and their different types, but each trait needs to be explored further. For instance, the mutated variants could have unique attributes that you could incorporate into gear or something along those lines. There could also be a trade and crafting system to complement it. One quest involves taking a girl to an island, and that’s it—there’s no progression beyond that.

After finishing the game with a bad ending, where everything was destroyed, I thought this was just the tutorial and that the player’s mission was to rebuild and connect the regions to fight off some impending force. But that was it.

It’s truly very dull. I think if there’s a sequel, the devs should step it up. I really like the game’s style, but the gameplay is incredibly weak and doesn’t meet expectations at all.

The Best Game of All Time

Really good game, but "out of memory". Oh really, 32GB Ram and 12GB Vram are not enough???

Played 136 hours at this time, but I have no ideas about this world. Try to make ammo and automated factory, to make life easier or something but without mods. Man, it's so hard.

Only for people can't play Battlefield. After a few hours, you will be boring asf

Campaign is just a masterpiece. Will wait for next sequels, but it seems like a Aladdin wish

I wish it was a movie or a tv series, not even a game. The story made me feel like traveling back in time instantly. A beautiful game. PS: The final mission is so amazing!

Fun as hell. It came from no where and had so much potential. One of the best indie games of 2021. Hope dev will update more and more contents in the near future

This game is decent, i like it. Not too good but not bad at all. Have just finished this game a couple of minutes ago. Hope you guys will update it more like crafting items, more maps to explore, more zombies and guns can be customized. More than that, need to make this game like open world to more things to explore. Thanks.
