After an additional 3k hours, my review has no changed, I will be playing more

War Thunder is a psychological horror game that's cleverly disguised as a free-to-play arcade vehicular combat game.

It starts off super fun and enticing to get you invested but slowly becomes a literal nightmare the further you progress, in that your naiive expectations of the game are taken advantage of as you're thrown for a very arduous loop - you have to go through the same gameplay cycles over and over again expecting for things to get better but they ultimately don't. You experience an illusion of choice where you come to believe that the decisions you make throughout the game actually matter but they really don't. In the end, you come to realize that there never was any happiness to be found here at all - just an endless grind to an endgame that's almost eternally out of reach, and you wonder why you ended up playing in the first place.

Story is pure ♥♥♥♥♥, no proper continuation from the 2nd BL. They kill most of the well developed characters for absolutely no reason, the new characters do not bring any value to the game.

Its fun

game is ass, dont bother
(2k hours in-game, ignore steam)
