I wish there was a third option for "it's ok" or "I wouldn't recommend it to everyone but some people may get a kick out of it".

Clearly a lot of love and hard work has been poured into this project, it runs smoothly and feels like it could have been a mini-game within Half-life. For that, it should be commended. However, that's all it feels like, a mini-game, as the amount of content is just not enough for me to recommend. A lot of the basic elements of RTS games from the last two decades are missing, such as a wider range of research (beyond weapons), tech-levels and a wide variety of units. The latter is quite underwhelming in my opinion.

That said, it is very well polished and does fit nicely within the half-life universe. It's just that the game play got dull after two skirmishes trying both factions. I really want to like this as I heard it was similar to Dawn of War and Company of Heroes, but even with lower expectations (this is a free mod after all) I just don't feel like playing it any more. At the end of the day, if a game gets boring after less than an hour, I can't recommend it fully.

Sit back and relax. Your children won't be dead by the time Bannerlord is released.

You! Stop deliberating about whether or not to get this game. I put it off for two years and have regretted every single day I wasn't playing it.

Now this is once again the best multiplayer game ever made.

This game is great and well worth your time. I don't know if more has to be said, just play the damn game.

Master Chief is a pretty cool guy. He kills space Allens and doesn't afraid of anything.

If you enjoyed the game on XBOX 360 you won't be dissapointed.
The only real issue I have is that when dragging a box over your units it can be a bit laggy at times, making the box start perhaps a second after you've clicked your mouse.

Also getting Spirit of Fire ordinance to go where you want it is like trying to get a snail to grow legs but it still beats console controls which aren't suited for RTS.

Looking forward to finishing Uni work so I can sit down for a while and play it properly.

Learn useful Russian swear words that will make you seem worldly
Learn stronk Soviet conscript rush tactics
Develop a westernised, crappy Russian accent to impress your friends

Oh and there's a campaign and other nations to play as...
In all seriousness the game's pretty good, despite the campaign never really getting more epic than the first level.

My favourite game that has no nostalgia bonus.
Conquer a kingdom using elements from RTS, Grand Strategy and even first person sword fighting? Yes please!

The genres fit so well together to create a game that's both accessible, challenging and fun for a wide range of players.

From humble beginnings leading peasants while you're wearing leather armour and chipped weapons to being hired as a mercenary for a kingdom that you will someday betray and take over their lands.

It does take a while to become powerful and a lot of bad runs but maintaining a sustainable power kingdom is really satisfying. Or you could ♥♥♥♥-around with cheats which is a good idea for the first run so you can learn the mechanics of the game.

Oh and don't forget the mods!
Game of Thrones - kill all your most hated characters and sit on the Iron Throne!
Warhammer Fantasy - dude... you get to play as a skeleton with a gun... nuff said

All the DLC is worth it too, Napoleonic wars is a great multiplayer mod and Viking Conquest adds a very enjoyable story line to follow if you're not a fan of more sandbox games.

All in all, just buy this game. It was the best ten or so pounds I've ever spent.
