When Survivor clicks, you truly feel like a Jedi. The story, set pieces, and combat are exceptional. There were some moments in the story where I pumped up my volume to feel the intensity of the combat and situation. You don't need to be a Star Wars to thoroughly enjoy this game, but if you are, it's practically unmissable. Play Survivor, you won't regret it.

Jedi Fallen Order is a good game. The souls-like genre fits quite well in this setting and the story is intriguing from start to finish. I highly recommend playing this first if you are at all interested in playing Jedi Survivor which itself is an exceptionally good game.

Excellent addition to the base game. So good it could even be considered DLC. The puzzle difficulty is high enough that most players should be fine solving them, but not too easy that those that play lots of community levels are bored. Otherwise, great story and world building. Big congrats to the dev team.

Very different to any other game I've ever played. But after the first 15 minutes of game play, I was determined to finish the game. I highly recommend this game. Similar to Outer Wilds, the less you know the better because this is an investigation game that you can really only experience once.

It feels like you are living out childhood horrors. The environmental story-telling is again, very unsettling. A perfect sequel.

Horror done right; no reliance on jump scares. Very unsettling. I love it.

I wish I played this game before I watched a play-through of it. You aren't ready.

I bounced off Elden Ring the first time I played it. I was lost. I levelled 'incorrectly'. I didn't know where to go. I hated the PC controls. I didn't realise I was heavy-weight for the first 10 hours of play. I learnt that the map was huge and I was about 10% of the way through the game. So after beating Morgot, I placed the game inside my pile of shame and went elsewhere.

About a year later I picked it up and gave it a second go, and boy am I glad I did. I set aside some proper time and started chipping away at the map and my levelling mistake. I set myself the challenge of using sword and shield only and I grinded my way to greatness. I was having fun. Beating bosses made my heart pump. I was experiencing the well known "don't you dare go hollow" effect. And I beat it. From 10 hours to 100.

This is the longest review I've written mostly because while I think Elden Ring is a great game, I don't blanket recommend it. Many people, like me, will bounce off it. But, unlike me, they'll never come back. I want you to make sure you know what you're getting yourself into.

Do I recommend this game to you?
- If you do not envision yourself spending hours methodically breaking down bosses and encounters with discipline and precision, then Elden Ring is definitely not for you.
- If you want to sit back and let a game play itself, Elden Ring is not for you.
- If you always wanted to try a souls-like but couldn't get past the difficultly. Elden Ring is good start.
- If you want to earn victory above a game that says it can't be defeated. If you're ready to put in the hard-yards to prove your skill. Elden Ring will be your appraisal and I recommend you play it.

Elden Ring is excellent game, and it deserves the game-of-the-year awards it received. FromSoft's art team are on another level. The open world is refreshing amongst the map-marker driven drab other games crutch on. And the game respects the player and your intelligence. Elden Ring is hard, but it's fair. You can win, but it'll make sure you get good first.

This game deserves all the praise its receives and more. The story and open world design is THE best I've ever played. I cannot stress enough just how good this game is. If you're reading this, then you should stop reading reviews and go play the game.
