Someone ran past me screaming and closed the door on me, then a giant peanut snapped my neck as a seven foot tall naked man ran past my corpse screaming.

if you played this as a kid you had a great childhood

I never thought a game series where monkeys pop bloons with darts would stick with me for most of my life. But here we are.

Love this game. It does not matter if you start the city the same way all the time, the game guides you (thru several events) to a path where you have to abandon your strategy and focus on the problems, trying to get everything working even when you can clearly see the end.

The best part is when you think everything is going to be ok, your citizens loves you, the city is growing up and suddenly ... Godzilla!!

A match of 10-15 minutes are good enough to enjoy the game and try new things. Super recommended!

i mostly play against AI friends . cool mechanics and differnt types of ways to play maps (be sure to get some community maps as well . there are some great ones out there ) all in all . great game . still play it all the time

Grab pan, steal farmers clothes. Beat innocent 10 year old child to death in a random russian server. 10/10

A satisfying and balanced blend of open-ended bushcraft survival and Resident Evil-esque horror conspiracies waiting to be uncovered. Combine that with a hand-crafted world that is interesting to explore and a softly metroidvania cave design, and you've got The Forest.

Offering both solo and co-op modes, this game is a good pick for survival game fans regardless of whether or not you have friends to play it with, although you may find that braving the caves alone is not for the faint of heart. The Forest's crowning achievement is it's atmosphere. It scratches that "eerie yet fascinating" itch that games like Subnautica and Half-Life 2 do with their atmosphere. Whoever the sound designers and engineers were, they obviously gave it their all.

Unfortunately, no amount of bells and whistles can hide the fact that this game is clunky. Since Endnight has the gall to announce a sequel to The Forest when the game remains in such a state, players should abandon all hope of any future updates to the game. By all means, this game is finished and is nowhere near the "unplayable" state that a lot of small survival game studios reach, but new players should know going in that it has that old survival game crustiness.
