This game was once great. It has been ruined by corporate greed, and by monopolistic business practices.

I have played since 2013 and most of my hours are from the days before steam support so I have around 4000 hours in this game, and have every tech tree to Tier 5 with some at 7. Even as a good player, the new economy forces you to spend money to progress. This game is just not rewarding for the ammount of time commitment required.

Edit February 2024: Do not play this game until Gaijn firstly acknowledges this game has a cheating problem, to this day they toe the line that cheating is not possible due to easy anti cheat.

The game is infested on U.S servers with Chinese bot and blatant Chinese cheating accounts, this game is getting worse by the year.

This game is Amazing, Starship troopers meets killing floor

This game filled a niche i didn't even know I needed filled: casual diesel punk tarkov in space.

Game play is much more approachable and easier to learn than other games in genre.

TTK is perfect, and balanced in a way that incentizes good aim.

Game needs a walking mechanic, similar to tarkov, as right now its either full on crouch walking or elephant stomping.

Overall this game eill be a genre definer given enough time and love, if its this good at EA relase i can only imagine how good it will be with time.

That being said this game has the Worst PC UI I have ever seen in my life. Good luck finding a functional keybind setup, as on mouse and keyboard the base configuration uses the arrow keys (in 2022) Shift+clicks, Alt+Clicks, shift+basically every key on the board has some sort of movement,UI,or skill attached to it.

After attempting to setup functional key binds from scratch, I realized that I was wasting my time. This game is physically unplayable on PC unless you are willing to use a Controller(in which case i'm assuming the the controls work as intended)

In conclusion if you intend to play this game right now with mouse and keyboard, DONT, It was pure suffering, if this changes in the future ill be more than happy to update this review as the premise of the game was enjoyable, and I liked the graphics, but that is all moot due to the nonfunctional PC UI.

This is what Civilization VI could have been.

Honestly its amazing, get it.

What to say about Imperator Rome... This game was intended be be a amalgamation of the most popular paradox titles, the Developers set out to do this, and they did, Just not the way everyone was hoping, this game is a beautiful mess (yes it is a mess). That being said i have enjoyed this game, and am very much looking forward to were it goes. This game is completely functional and runs much smoother than any other paradox game to date. I very much like How tactics are set up to run conjointly with army compositions, it works together to form a meta of sorts. As for historical accuracy the game is more accurate than anything else on market at the moment and is very fun to play online, as In HOI4 where all nations fall into the axis or allies, Imperator Rome Delivers a time frame were the possiblities of every game are infinite. This game has massive potential.

• Civil Wars in General- Feel as if their only purpose is to slow the game down.
  
• Events that serve no purpose- Plenty of events that give buffs for no aparent reason, not gonna complain at free gold though.

A game focused upon truly endless exploration, a game not made for those who will paly several hours and write the game off as shallow.No mans sky in my opinion is one of the greatest games to come out in the past decade, why? because this game fits my style of play, i want a game i can play for Thousands of Hours if i please, i want a game that fits even if only milidly my imiginations view of the vast expance known as space, and at the moment there is no other prime example other than No mans Sky. Below me you will read Reviews about people "feeling lied to" or "mislead" and even more people complaining about how never to Preorder games, Those people are the reason a game made fora specefic Audience is rated as mixed, they are not a Member of this specefic audience. So if you bought or preorderd this game thinking it would be Eve online, Elite or Star citizen, do you homework next time. If you are a soul like me who enjoys the Endless expanse of wandering through a galaxy populated with 18 Quintillion planets, Several different Unique Races of ALien life and an incredible aresenal of Unique Ships, this game is for you.

By far the most realistic thing ever, at first i wasnt sure if i was actualy hacking until the FBI knocked down my door 10/10 would forget to cover up thier traces again!

But for real though i played this for a solid 3 hours just to get a taste of it and i quickly cought the hang of it and fell in love defiately worth the 9.99 or the 1.50 during the winter sell, i recomend the entire introversion bundle aswell simply because you get defcon and darwinia with it.
