You can pick up all of the things you would remember from a high school history class on the subject in a few play throughs. True dedicates can use the experience to inform a thesis paper or career.

It is a great idle game. I think idle games are just bad for people and bad for games. I think this is even true for a great idle game like this one.

Interface was challenging to use. Much worse than I'd have expected for 2002.

It is more than a little dark. Once you settle into it and figure out to only feed your folks on alternating days (or less) it gets a little more forgiving.
