I emulate games, like a lot. I still feel that the 90's and 2000's gaming scene was the best and that today's littering of FOMO, cash shops, micro-transactions, costly monthly subscription fees, and games that you purchase like any other game, WITH all or most those things in them, are just straight up trashy and that we've really ran off the road to greatness and are currently barreling towards even junkier trails.

Anyways. To start off, I personally use romsgames, it literally has almost everything you need to get almost everything up and running and will have almost all the games you want with a few exceptions: https://www.romsgames.net/

Finally, the games. Imagine actually getting to the point. :chimchim:
There's actually a lot of games I like, it's literally almost all of N64, PS1 and PS2 games, most of the Super Nintendo and Gameboys, half of the NES, and some of the OG Xbox. (forgive me, for I did not really have one long) For the sake of simplicity, I'm prolly gonna just list and detail the ones that I feel are really neat and have a spot in my shelf of games that everyone should hear about. Will definitely list other cult classics later, somewhere else.

- Ogre Battle 64 (Nintendo 64)

Best game ever. The End. Jk, it's a pretty interesting game though. Don't get it confused with Tactics Ogre: Reborn that you can now find on steam, they play very differently. Instead of leading a band of soldiers in one battle in Tactics, Ogre Battle lets you lead multiple bands of soldiers across multiple battles that make up an area of conflict. There are hidden systems that were, and still kinda are, unique to how it plays out. Battles are simplistic in a good way, you customize your battle group, give them an idea of how to fight, and send them against the enemy parties to clash and hopefully don't get obliterated. The story is also pretty decent for it's time.

There's like, a ton more stuff and as much as I love the game, I ain't typing all the rest of the info. There is a lot, like hidden mechanics and highly missable items and units. It really makes it magical if you run through it blind one time though. Check out it's fanmade info site for everything detailed: https://ogrebattle64.net/

- Megaman Legends (1-2) (Playstation 1)

I think most people have played a Mega Man game at least once in their life, even by accident. Even so, these two titles are my personal favorites in the entire series. Basically 3rd person action RPG Mega Man. I feel like this was one of those things that could have been a big deal in an alternate timeline. But anyways, it's Mega Man as a treasure hunter, going down in ruins to get refractors and money, fighting ancient robots and airship pirates. 1st game takes place on a small island with intertwined digs (dungeons), 2nd game kinda expands and is a bit more spaced and fleshed out. Great story. Disappointed as ♥♥♥ that Mega Man Legends 3 was cancelled, was apparently supposed to be a 3DS game. There's a few groups out there that are still trying to revive the game, show them support if you see them.

- The Misadventures of Tron Bonne (PS1)

Another Mega Man game, oh but wait, it's not, and is in-fact focusing mainly on Tron Bonne and her 40 ServBots (yep there are 40 of them, I counted, and they all make appearances regularly in both Legends games and this one). This is basically Mario Party in which you pay off a debt by doing things similar to what the Bonnes were doing in legends 1 and 2. Main attraction is Tron abusing the shirt outta the ServBots. Her anger is my amusement. You can read up more of it here if it isn't clear, there's also sections for Legends 1 and 2 if you wanna check them out too: https://www.legends-station.com/?id=motb-story

- Jet Force Gemini (N64)

Funny story about this one. I was a kid still when this came out and for whatever reason, despite the colorful graphics and pretty blocky textures of the N64 era, this game scared the ♥♥♥♥ outta me. No joke. I played the intro like 10 times in a row and every time I would go into the next area with that trail that snakes to that abandoned village, those first 2 drones that would scrurry past just really shook me. Dunno why, young me I guess. But then it clicked and I plowed through the game, and had fun.

Great game for it's time. Actually had pretty difficult boss fights and the AI for it's time were pretty challenging. Game difficulty is actually kinda hard in general, I would dare say it's split down the middle of causes by the controls and enemies themselves. Sounds are amazing, and the OST is memorable. Super gore-y, green blood painted everything and flew everywhere. Dead drones would twitch, and attract flies. Really nice.

Basically a shooter that has a set of twins and their dog going from planet to planet, and asteroid's and ships, to defeat the evil Mizar and his army of drones which are basically large ants that walk on two legs (calm down EDF fans) and liberate all the tribals. You've got a lot of guns to use, the shooting is great and incorporates limb and head gibbing from shots and explosions, which by the way, can also happen to the tribals you're trying to save, so watch those collaterals. The drones can also surrender if you catch them off guard, or just give up anyways because of the literal enemy type called a Coward Drone. The platforming is great, especially when you get jetpacks finally, and there's loads of areas that you can't access on first pass, giving you more reasons to explore.

This is a game that truly uses the most of what the N64 had at the time, and honestly deserves a remaster or remake. If you would rather play this game in a official capacity then emulating, you can pick this up on the Nintendo Switch. You will, sadly, need the expansion pack that nintendo makes you pay to play it, so take that as you want. There is also another game that's on Steam that you can play that is made by ex-Rare devs called Tamarin, it's... similar, but not quite on the same spectrum as Gemini is.

Jumping on the bandwagon, cheering for Gemini 2, and getting the game either through emulation or switch, won't directly give us Gemini 2, but it will put you one step closer to Mizar's Lair.

(I will jot down more and clean it up later, am busy currently with life, take care)
