has genuinely become one of my favorite games to just sit down and play.

Every run turns into some combination of climbing, panic, exploration, and laughing at my own mistakes. I've had some great solo summits already, and I can't wait to experience more of the game with other scouts.

I love playing PEAK, Bing bong!

I've put about 13 hours into this in the past two weeks and it's been really fun. The combat is fast, satisfying, and the run structure keeps things moving and you're never stuck doing the same thing for too long, which is exactly what pulled me in.

Status effects and elemental combos add a nice layer on top of the combat too. Stacking burns on enemies and chaining stuff together feels good, and it makes runs feel different depending on what you're building toward.

One thing that's bugged me a bit is enemy leveling, it can feel rough at points, like the difficulty spikes in ways that don't always feel earned. Had a genuinely great moment getting a fast, clean run on Aurora and others, that pace is honestly what keeps me coming back.

It's a shame this game doesn't have that much traction right now, because I think it deserves it. If you're into roguelites or Hades-style combat, I'd say give this one a shot.

The newer version is WAY better. Can’t wait for it’s release!

Perfect sequel to the Portal game.

After a long period of playing, getting fatigued mentally gets you to realize a life outside of Apex. Choose to uninstall and allow yourself to live a happier life.
