Finally amassing a good 500 hours, I believe I have enough experience to make a thorough review of the game.

Omega Strikers is a footbrawl, featuring what's essentially a football (soccer) match between strikers (Equivalent to Dota's Heroes as are champions are to League) who hail from a roster of 21 characters as of December 2023. The game features fast paced action where characters must score against the enemy in typical football fashion, with the exception of brawling; each characters some equipped with 3 unique abilities that are a primary, secondary, and an ultimate. Already you can see the MOBA influences! However, there isn't an official roster of classes which let you know from the get-go of who does what (e.g. Support, tank, etc). That information can be gained from the character's in-game information (Yes, you have to read). If I am not mistaken, the tutorial session covers it.

The game modes featured are the following: Competitive, Normal, Quickplay, Custom, Co-op vs AI and Practice. Competitive is just like Normal but with ranks added to them. In both modes, a team is to play against another, scoring 3 goals per set, with 3 sets being the official win condition. Between each set, strikers can get passive buffs from a select screen. However, the order of which the players select depends on the amount of XP given, with the leading MVP of the set having first picks. Quickplay is the same, but instead of 3 sets, you have 1 set of 5 goals to get to win. Custom is self explanatory. Co-op vs AI is when players are put up against bots (and the bots are kinda bad ngl) which serves well to test out characters and for new players to get familiar with some mechanics. Practice is just a solo game where you can familiarize yourself with the strikers, etc. Most people will find themselves within playstyles such as goalie, forward (people who try to get the goals), midfielder (who stay in the mid field and support both forward and goalie if need be), and flex (those who play any roles). Only goalie, forward, and flex are recognized at this time by game. Midfielder is just a convention I see the community makes for their own styles. You can select these roles before queuing for a game to get a match for that style of play.

Since the game is free-to-play, the main revenue comes from the in-game skins. I can't comment on these because I spent like zero dollars on it, haha. Another source of in-come are the emotes, which I never spent money on. Some emotes are free by the way, with special ones being unlocked by codes. Why emotes, though? Odyssey Interactive learned from the MOBA communities that freedom in communication leads to utmost abhorrent display of toxicity! So instead of getting a teammate yelling racial slurs in Spanish or Russian, now you can get them to spam emotes, cute ones too! (Please note, this doesn't stop players to find other ways to express their toxicity.) Mind you, since it is a 3v3, communication is necessary. Sure you have a limited option of choices given such as "Let me defend!" which is often used in exasperation, To avoid scenarios such as when two allies using their abilities at the same time leading to a fumbled shot, voice communication is highly recommended. This is why the Discord exists, to facilitate conversation! The community is nice too, so that's a plus!

I will now condense what I like and dislike about the game in a list.
The Pros:
- The music in this game is a banger.

- Fast paced action for my neurons, big dopamine rush when "outsmart" (get lucky) the opponents with trickshots and win strike wars.
- Cute emojis (SADBOIS user)

- Fun with friends (this one's important)

- This one is not on the game itself, but the community is pretty nice if you ignore the raging players. Also, toxic players don't seem to like being in the Discord , so that's a plus! (I will find out where the live another way).

- If you feel uncomfortable with your name being shown, you can hide it from other players! (So conveniently nice!)

- Cool characters! (I only played the female characters)

- Trigger did an animation for it.

The cons:
- You're playing with others: If you have no friends who play this game, solo queuing is a way to go, but be prepared to have a mixed bag of skill and IQ. (New players skip the tutorial and hop into a ranked game for some reason)

- Matchmaking ranks: Even when I was in a platinum bracket, I got with teammates who were silver, bronze or rookies. This led to my derank as well -40 points lost (Yippee!).

- It's fast-paced as in the game can turn into ping-pong on steroids (as it should) making it hard for players to keep up.


Conclusion:
I like the game. Don't like playing with others despite me solo queuing because the community is so nice that I momentarily forget. So nice of them. I'd highly recommend if you're into

I like it when the research team gathered on the shore of the fleshy cathedral and gazed upon the blackened sun as Dybowski utters the titular phrase "Stars Die," and the screen pans to a speckled night sky. Truly they lived on a dying planet.

Honest Review:
Basically a walking simulator with an interesting premise: The planet is dying and a cathedral of exotic flesh surfaced in the midst of an ocean. In hopes to find a connection as well as possible solution to the world's macabre state, a research team consisting of four people is sent to the island to investigate its origins. The story begins with the player taking the role of Dybowski, a survivor of the cataclysmic event known as The Hole, which is cause of the aforementioned state of the planet.
She arrives to the island and presents the player with a chance to interact with the four members of the team, each with their own interpretations of the situation leading to different endings of the game.

Because each character is hellbent on their own belief, this paves the way for a time dependent mechanic in the game where characters will progress without you, regardless of what dialogue choices you've made- that is if you choose to do so. An example of this is that when you die, you're revived after being notified time has passed. To alleviate the sense of urgency, player can choose chill mode so they can play at their own pace.

Pros:
- The soundtrack and PS1 aesthetic lends very well to cement the atmosphere of cosmic horror.

- Although the story is vague, it works it to its benefit. Would play it again to learn more about the lore.

- Each ending involves the character going through an existential question, some with an extreme perspective
(e.g. On my first play through, I chose the lady who I found the most attractive, but it turned out she was a Darwinian Schizo. )

Cons:
- While I love the premise, the way it is conveyed is consists of characters saturating your dialogue box, as if there was an attempt to give as much exposition as possible. While this there are items you could interact with to give more background, I would wish to see more of them present, even if it sacrifices the vague nature of the story.

- While the dialogue is neat despite the saturation, I find that it doesn't affect game progression as much, save for a certain ending.

I'd recommend the game if you like walking simulators and short stories with different endings. I hope to see more from Eric Juvi as I believe this game is the better of the two in terms of story (the other game being Angels Bleeding, which I believe excelled in movement.)

Epic Soulslike. However, I did not like how staggering enemies lunges them out of range for another attack leading to another arduous battle. I would like to see the knockback reduced in the future.
