Fighting in Tight spaces is a turn-based deck builder where you fight in tight spaces. The title basically tells you all you need to know.

The cards you are given in the game range from attack, movement, block and counter cards. You can use a set number indicated by the number on the left hand of your screen and each card has a use amount. The cards cost ranges from zero and up, the interesting concept is that you can build up a momentum and combo points to do finishing moves like a spinning leg kick that deal an absolute metric ♥♥♥♥ ton of damage. You can also use the environment to your advantage with cards like head slam that can only be used when enemies are near objects so you can Plop their heads on it like the last beer at closing time. Then in some maps you have death spots that you can push or shove enemies to and will give you the quick deaths you sometimes need especially for harder enemies.

The game plays like an arena rogue lite, where you can select a mission and you are set on a branching path of arenas with buffs to enemies and random rewards for wining. Rewards like new cards and gaining more health or heath replenishment. With small objectives that will allow you to gain more cash so you can reach the gym or clinic to either heal yourself or you can use the money to upgrade your cards to make them stronger and can lower the spending cost of the card. If you beat the mission, you will unlock the other one and will still keep your upgrades, but if you die everything is lost. You can start the new mission but with no upgrades you are at a big disadvantage going in. It's still possible to beat the mission but it would have been easier with the upgrades you obtained from going through the previous.

The enemies also range from your standard goons to thugs with guns or prisoners with shivs. Each providing you with countless ways to die. Some also giving buffs like more health or defense to the surrounding enemies. But the unique thing about them is that every one of them are dumber than a box of door nails. If you have a gun man aimed at you and is wanting to shoot you after you end your turn just push a goon in the line and get out of the way, Reck it Ralph will load his friends face with buck shot and move to aim at you again like he did nothing wrong. I think I'll call this one ♥♥♥♥ Cheney.

But the game will make you think about your moves and plan your cards accordingly to build up momentum and the best way to avoid damage because you are given a set number in the beginning and yes, you can heal along the way but it's not a lot and you could easily lose that health in the next arena so strategy is key. I’m having a blast and the game is in early access but it feels polished and complete so the early access just means more things are meant to be added to the game in a later date. So just more fun to be had. If you are a fan of turn based, deck builders or strategy games I think you will have fun with this one.
